Coffman was elected in part by promising to vote against Obamacare but then voted against repealing it. Coffman listened too much to Paul Ryan and not enough to conservative voters who delivered Republicans Donald Trump. By voting against Trump Coffman was actually voting against conservative voters. But Coffman blames Trump and Republican immigration policies.
That would be immigration law.
Coffman says his district is 20% not born in America so he softened his position on immigration but could not overcome immigrants' mistrust of his party.
“They believe that Republicans aren’t simply against illegal immigration but they are against immigrants,”That's where you failed. Conflating legal and illegal immigration, and blending legal and illegal voting.
This is what happens when California floods your district. Your representation is not wanted. On the upside you have much better selection of sushi bars and the whole restaurant scene generally is vastly improved.
No caterwauling allowed. It is what it is.
Voters chose Jason Crow.

CO is lost. We are CA east now. and we just elected a younger gayer lefter version of Jerry Brown.
All the CO candidates attached all the R candidates to Trump. While Trump is more popular to the base, there just are not enough of us in CO.
Coffman was doomed no matter what he said or did.
Coffman needed to shut up about Trump from the get-go, but I doubt it would have made a difference. Coffman's attempts to distance himself from Trump in CO - were mere self preservation. Other states are different. CO is a state that went for Hillary and is more blue by the day thanks to pot legalization. The young pot smokers identify with the Bernie coalition. Someone else must pay for their free shit while they get high and play video games in mom's basement.
That's why all the leftists who voted FOR the D's - voted no on all the tax hikes. They want OTHERS to pay, but THEY themselves do not want their own skin in the game.

The fat crook J.B Pritzker spent 170 million dollars of his own money to become governor of Illinois. The job pays 200 grand a year. This is a guy who removed the toilets to one of his mansions to list it as a distressed property and save $30,000 in property tax.For all that dough spent. he will still be taking orders from Mike Madigan the crooked crypt keeper Speaker of the Illinois house. They are contemplating a mileage tax on automobiles and a progressive income tax to this broke ass state. He was elected by people who don't pay any taxes. Soon the only people left here will be the overpaid government pensioners and the over compensated welfare queens.
Fatass Pritzker is on a recorded message conspiring with Rod Blagojovich trying to buy a government job. Blagojovich is in jail, hopefully J. B. will join him soon.

The only declared conservative Republican in the Pritzker family is Jennifer, born James. US Army career, friend of John McCain, decided at age 63 that he wanted to be a woman. Maybe s-he will be the Republican canditate in four years.
I meant Jared Polis, the newly elected Governor of Colorado, but doesn't matter, it applies to both states. Thing is when I saw the photograph of Polis in an earlier Chip post my immediate thought was Colorado has all those craggy faced Marlboro Man types and they go elect a round-faced yid like me. Such poor aesthetic taste ha ha.

We have over 100,000 unaffiliated voters - and sadly, they break for democrats. Blame them.

Polis is a total dork. He's also a man-baby.
I will see if I can dig out the audio of him whining about his discovery of fracking near some property he owns in northern Colorado. He was annoyed and so his answer at the time, was to ban fracking. He's been on an anti-fracking bint every since. He had to be dragged back to reality by a regular democrat named John Hickenlooper.
btw- I never voted for Hickenlooper so do not assume for a second think I'm some sort of closet lib. (yea sure I'm a bit of a hippy, and I think there are too many people on the planet, but that comes with living here so long) anyway - Hickenlooper is a businessman and he is a rare rare bird in the leftwing world. He's a solid D - but he's not crazy. just my 2 cents.
