There are so many legit reasons to criticize this President, when people complain about him not wearing a tie, or that his wife's butt is big or any of the stuff that doesn't matter, it takes away from the big things.
Makes it sound like they just hate the guy no matter what he does, and that is unreasonable- hate him for the hateful things he does.
Skipping the funeral is his choice and so what? Maybe it would be a distraction, and everyone would be watching to see if Obama and McConnell shook hands, maybe the family wanted a nice funeral mass with out all the hoop-a-la of a presidential visit. maybe the limo needs new shocks and that is the only day Obama can get over to Firestone.
As much as I dislike Obama and think that he is a childish, petulant, vindictive, narcissistic shit, I think that it is better that he not attend the funeral.
It would be a distraction to the solemn occasion. As Obama, he would have all eyes on him and become the center of attention. You know the old saying....the bride at every wedding, the corpse at every funeral. That would be Obama.
In addition it is a religious funeral and likely God would strike Obama with a big purple glowing lightening bolt for his hypocrisy in darkening the hallowed halls of the Church. Not that I wouldn't pay to see this happen or download the viral video, but it is not about Obama. It is for the family of the deceased and his passing.
I can accept that Scalia died naturally but I wish they'd done an autopsy. What if it had been Bernie Sanders who was found dead in West Texas? He's an old guy on thyroid meds. Would everything have been done the same? Most likely Bernie's supporters would be the "conspiracy nuts" screaming for an autopsy.
