Halloween pranks

Jimmy Kimmel's annual challenge for parents to submit video telling their kids they ate all the kid's Halloween candy.

It's a mean thing to do just for a reaction. Kimmel is another personality I avoid but this is trending on YouTube.

Apparently being a parent in large part means messing with the minds of your kids and disrupting their peace and security. Families exist to instill wariness in children.

Conversely, The last two Trump rallies held early evening showed a dad holding their little boy up high to their chest so the boy's head rested on the dad's shoulder. Both times, right behind Trump to to the side, with the dad participating in the rally and  the boy out of it, exhausted and falling asleep amid noise and amplified speeches. That is the essence of family; taking the child to an historic rally, so he is shown his participation later,  the dad's shoulder the most comforting secure pillow in the world.

Some of these scares had me laughing so hard it's disabling. Some children are so vulnerable they can't even run, they just collapse to be killed by a monster.

Scaring people for cheap laughs is passive-aggressive. Making kids cry is just mean.
