TV reporter fired after writing a post expressing relief Trump won.

Scarlett Fakhar said she was recently canned from her local news gig at Fox in Houston for posting last week that she was “happy and relieved” over Trump’s unexpected White House win.

Fakhar had said in the post, which has since been deleted, that Obama made the “entire county hate one another” and claimed God “had a hand” in the election. She also said she could “barely sleep from how happy and relieved she was” after Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton.

“Fox 26 Houston fired me today for expressing my conservative views on my private Facebook page,” Fakhar posted Thursday. “That is all I will say for you. But I want you to know how much your support has gotten me through this. God bless you all.”

I'm off Facebook and never going back. One more waste of time I can live just fine without. Plus I don't feel the need to know the extent to which my friends are nasty raging parrots.

This is what you get for Speaking Truth to Power.

If the Power is Leftist.

PS A rather sweeping statement to say all Fox outlets are Lefty. Possible, but not likely.

I don't use facebook. Just to comment on certain blogs. Now they demand all of this id to use it and that ain't happening.

Same with twitter. It is a leftist mugs game.

Twitter is dying. I hope Facebook follows.

Left, Right or Center, If you are in the public eye just stay the hell off Facebook or twitter. The company you work for doesn't need the grief of your opinions. If you need to spout open an account with an alias.

Didn't see much mention of this but Brad Avakian, the Oregon sphincter who fined Sweetcakes out of existence for not baking gay wedding cakes, lost the race for Secretary of State to a conservative republican. He was the only democrat to lose a statewide race in Oregon.

I would boycott them (I'm in their coverage), but I don't watch them anyway. Nothing on the local Fox channel actually. I'm close to cutting the cable too.
