Let us review - expensive German import, leased, left running at a gas pump, both windows down, in an area known for violent crime - yeah, she's the daughter of the Chuck Norris of dumb. PG county is an American shithole.
Clearly not the brightest bulb in the box but I thought she showed initiative if not cunning, jumping in the window like that. Sixty, why is PG (Prince George?) County a shithole?
In a word, culture. A culture that knows, and accepts as normal, the fact that you will be carjacked while you are pumping gas. The "snitches get stitches (if they are lucky)" culture. It is LBJ's Great Society writ large within sight of the Capitol Dome.
My memory of the place only goes back as far as 1965 and even then it was a place to be avoided. I used to have customers there and let me say this - it was a keep your doors locked, don't obey the traffic laws, keep moving kind of place even in the 1980s. Very odd, considering the fact that the neighboring counties are all much better places.
Newark NJ, Camden NJ, Oakland CA - all have similar attributes. I have been to all of them and through stealth and cunning lived to tell about it.
