I have liked that song since I first heard it on Aretha's gospel album. This version has remarkable energy, aided by the impressive, if immodest for the setting choreography, a great band, and of course, Jake's reaction. His stunt double's tumbling runs just add to the energy overload - can you imagine trying to do back flips in that setting? I can't. And of course Brother James wraps it all up in a nice bow. What a scene - I am glad it was captured on film.

No, on closer viewing, that's not Clyde. But the Godfather was THE entertainer.
James Brown was a better vocalist than often credited.
