Ugh! I just saw a doc on the Ganges river. It's a muddy brown color. There were people bathing in it's holy waters. One dude took a dip then rubbed himself all over with the ashes of someone just cremated up the beach. There is a railway trestle that crossed near the spot upriver . The trains dumped their waste straight into the Ganges. Then some kid slurped a handful of river water. They must be immune to all sorts of diseases. I can see why they worship cattle as the cows are smart enough to not wallow in their own crap.

What's stopping the adults in their white shirts and beautiful saris and jewelry from taking a worshipful or medicinal roll themselves?
How many dumps in the pile are needed? Is one enough? Or is this a rinse and repeat situation?

When one doesn't know what to do to heal or protect oneself or a child, weird shit happens.

I wonder if this is the origin of the term "dipshit" or the phrase "I'll be dipped in shit."
Cattle are held in high esteem over there so maybe their poo has power. Poower.
