National Border Patrol Council president Brandon Judd

Sundance asks why President Trump would make such advanced and public notification of the upcoming enhanced enforcement and gets strong and wildly varied responses in comments section here. It's an interesting thread, and growing.

You'd want something like this to be a surprise. What is Trump up to by giving all parties advance notice? And the world for that matter. Now his opposition has time to organize and illegal immigrants who've exhausted their appeals have time to skedaddle.

I find Trump unfathomable.

What do you think?

Let's be honest, on the immigration front, Trump has been a total failure so far. The Derb indicates this week he thinks this is more bluster and nothing will come of it in the end. Additionally, Trump no longer even hints at curbing legal immigration, and has worked in the opposite direction so far. Total fail (on this the most important issue).

The opposition won't even begin to admit there's a problem. AOC officially wants more migration, but only from "her people" countries. I agree that the problem is worse under Trump and it's getting worse. Jeff Sessions was adamantly for curbing migration and things have gotten worse since he was kicked to the curb.

I see this as an opportunity for a Democrat to one-up Trump. However, I don't believe that that will happen anytime soon.
