Even the most basic of the base is unreliable. We go to Wikipedia for that, a proven unreliable source for all things political. Their chaos is made apparent behind the front pages on background pages that describe all the editing done to arrive at received wisdom by consensus, the agreement of Democrat operatives.
Her political history is through the Minnesota House of Representatives on the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party line. Then onto the U.S. House of Representatives marking a number of historic electoral firsts. She is the first Somali-American, the first naturalized citizen from Africa, the first non-white woman elected from Minnesota and one of the first two Muslim women to serve in Congress.
Omar is a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. DING DING DING DING DING.
Those railroad track signals again. We all stop and stack up in line as a very long train whizzes past.
That right there is what you call a red flag for a trainload of straight up nonsense. Starting with the name for policies and programs which are actually extremely retrogressive.
From hereon, everything is to be taken with deep skepticism. Sure enough:
* living wage
* affordable housing
* universal healthcare
* student load debt forgiveness
* protection of deferred action for childhood arrivals *an interest to her unique experience.
* abolishing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) *of course.
* opposition to Trump immigration policies, including Trump travel ban.
* frequent critic of Israel
The rest of Wikipedia entry leaves out more than it includes. It provides only the shadows cast on the wall of her hand-shadow show.
American media avoids telling her story with excruciating painful diligence. Yet with one single sentence Trump brings her to the forefront of news because the American press would dearly love to smash his face in for saying it, but then they'd have to cover Ilhan Omar so that tension is spent right out the window.
But here's the thing. Her family had to bend the rules, warp them to use as extreme contortionists in order to get the whole family out of their shithole country and land somewhere decent. Then placed in a country with freedom and rights and opportunity they thrived so that Ilhan could actually become representative. Then she used her position as representative to trash her new country that saved her. Bringing with her the elements and the legal manipulations that made her country a shithole in the first place.
She could have settled in the new country and thrived peacefully.
Instead she became activist for serious changes.
And that brought the attention to her corrupt entry. And to the felonies that followed.
All criticism is batted away with charges of racism and bigotry, misogyny, Islamophobia.
But because of Trump's one single sentence, all that is falling away.
Her story is so convoluted, I dare you racists bigoted misogynist Islamophobes to even try to follow it.
Her entry was through convolutions made by her family at twelve years of age to warp to the requirements of immigration, so reasonably that cannot be held against her. It's the legal convolutions she's done as adult that are prosecutable.
American legacy media doesn't want to touch this. They run from this significant story. It's contrary to the idealized version of American truth they strongly prefer to present. They also strongly prefer to use Ilhan to smash President Donald Trump but that brings them too close to the unhappy and dangerous truth. The tension this creates in their collective mind is truly a sight to behold.
That's okay, American press. We don't rely on you anyway. Say and don't say whatever you wish. You are irrelevant.

Because it connects with the tension created in the mind of my dog.
She was such a sweet female Belgian. She looked like a black wolf except a bit more fluffy and although strong and large and assertive as a male compared with my previous female she was extremely emotionally sensitive.
She did something naughty and I reprimanded her. This crushed her emotionally. The separation from grace just too much to bear.
So that the whoIe day wasn't ruined I ran her through her entry-level obedience paces. A thing that we did together that reaffirmed how great she is. Truly great. I'm not exaggerating. Her simple obedience that most all dogs do, she did with extreme attention to detail and speed. It's mind-blowing. Seriously, she looked like a little Nazi. They all did. It's a trait.
I could not praise her as with other dog breeds or she'd get too excited and blow the whole thing. I cannot correct her either or else she get confused and crushed all over again.
My praise must be muted. But it must also be constant. She needs constant reaffirmation that she's doing great.
That amounted to rubbing the tip of her ear.
So subtle.
She required that continuous physical contact. It meant that she was constantly doing the right thing.
When she sat next to me standing, the tip of her upright ear matched the length of my arm so my hand could touch and rub the fuzz on the very tip.
That's all.

And she did. She actually relaxed on command.
She dropped dead stopped in a heap at my feet and looked up at me plaintively.
I've never seen anything like this.
I realized that yelling at her was the worst thing I could do. And if my neighbors heard me in the backyard then they'd regard me a crackpot idiot with poor training skills. It was the wrong thing for me to do. I regretted it immediately and I chastised myself for being a poor handler. But it actually worked.
I wrapped up the session and ended on a positive note.
And it worked permanently. Not just that one day.
From thereon, that new word, "relax" was a genuine command to stop doing the thing that she was doing and erase her mind to comfort. She would stop and sink into my leg.
It worked thereafter.
All her nuttiness was controllable immediately by simply saying, "relax."
I don't know how that works. But it did. It became an incredibly useful non-standard command. It connected us beautifully. It immediately erased her worries. Whatever her worries were. It became a word that she trusted; a word that reaffirmed her trust in me. It meant: stop/erase/trust.
It was the weirdest thing.
In this manner she trained me as much as I trained her. All of our training was 2-way like this. She showed me all things I was doing wrong. Wrong for her. She trained me how to talk to her.
With all these Belgians it really was a matter of who's zooming whom? I trained them, yes, but they most certainly trained me.

On August 10, 2017, Ilhan swore under penalty of perjury — literally, she signed a half-inch or so under “penalty of perjury” — that she’d had zero contact with Ahmed Nur Said Elmi after June 2011.
Now, a tremendous amount of evidence — from this article and our prior articles — shows that Ilhan perhaps perjured herself eight times with her nine answers. There is no box to check for “unmarried filing jointly.” Joint filers are either legally married or potential tax felons. Further, Ilhan Omar was legally married to another man at that time -- and was in fact married to that second man from 2009-2017.

Omar is the real face of the "New America" Democrats and the people who refuse to critique her. I hear that the foreign (British) press is covering her actual story.
She replaced Phyllis Kahn who was a real honest to goodness nut case. It's Minneapolis MN, what else needs to be said.
Her charm and beauty enable her to get away with a lot. I wonder if she's getting nervous now that she knows Trump is no more afraid of her than he is of any Democrat.
