Today, the temp reached 29º ABOVE ZERO. A couple of days ago when the sun was starting to rise, it was 28º BELOW. More proof of GLOBAL WARMING. WOOOT WOOOOOOOT!
Actually it is mostly just water that has condensed on the much smaller carbon particles that is indeed jet exhaust. But we wouldn't see much of the carbon particles if the water didn't form around it, freeze to ice, and then hang in air until it melts in the sun.
Which then can eventually create rain, if it ever reached the crowd; so it is really a secret government experiment to seed the sky for rain causing mass flooding like Harvey and kill off people living in the South.
I went for a walk this evening and got rained on - how wonderful is that? Rain, actual liquid precipitation fell upon me. The temperature will not go below freezing until the weekend, when winter will return. But for now we celebrate!

Jet engines burn more efficiently in this cold air we are experiencing.
Leon Russell and Joe Cocker were a match made in heaven.
Indeed they were - I am thankful that I got to see them both.

Or maybe not.
Yep. Below zero wind chill last week, projected to be in the mid-fifties on Thursday.
Great pic, Sixty, love the parallel contrails.
Some look to the sky for release,
Some find solace in gravel,
Suddenly comes true happiness
Picking the lint from the navel.

Rain for Sixty, and ricpic rhyming navel and gravel. Damn, life is good :)
I prefer the Alex Chilton version of "The Letter."
As for the photo, we knew this was all a jet stream phenomenon.
