Some soil is impervious...

...and a play on words can never gain a purchase.

One more snow picture - I finished shoveling inside the compound and will allow the upcoming heat wave to deal with the 100 feet of the driveway that remains untouched by my shovel.

Aw, what the heck, here is a picture from Wednesday - some have said that they like how it looks:

A study in monochrome.

"I'm the lead dog."

"No, I'm the lead dog!"

"No, I'm the lead dog!"

"No. I'm..........."

Billy Dee Williams is cool with that, just don't call him late for his Colt 45.

It works every time.

I drank my share of Colt kingers in my youth.

My motto, "Colt 45..it's not just for Negroes."

I know I drank one Colt 45, what I can't remember is whether I ever had a second one. Probably did, that that was close to 50 years ago, so I may never know for sure.

The thing about Colt and Schlitz Malt was they were stronger than beer. But a medium sized brewery in NY, Utica Club, came out w/ Maximus Super in the 70's, twice the alcohol as beer. Of course these craft breweries make all kinds of strong beer now. They didn't sell Maximus Super in PA where I went to school, so I would always bring a trunk full back..like Coors. We would have a Maximus party and get pie eyed. Well, we were having a Maximus party and all of a sudden I started breaking out in the horrible rash; arms, face, torso. I mean you could fucking see it just exploding on my body. Everyone stopped drinking the Maximus and freaked out. I learned the next day @ the infirmary I had German Measles aka rubella.

So, correlation not causation, eh?
