I saw ZZ Top open for Leon Russell in the fall of '72 at Cole Field House on the U. of Maryland campus. It was so long ago that my beard was longer than theirs.
And I described how ZZ Top changed my taste for Mexican food here. I guess it was really TexMex but I didn't know the difference. Back then I thought Taco Bell was a Mexican phone company.
