I remember liking that song back in the 70's, but I never bought the album.
The song is about many things -- smugness, failure, passivity, emotional growth, maturity, and yes not no. It's also about chess, Lewis Carroll, and John Lennon.
R.I.P. John Lennon

Tonight's anniversary also fell on the same day of the week in which the tragic assassination occurred.
The reason why I'm saying that is that I was watching Monday Night Football tonight and they played the tape of Howard Cosell announcement of Lennon's death.
It's as if the NFL has a claim... maybe I'm making something out of nothing. at 2am I should probably go to bed.
Rogers looks unbeatable btw.
LeBron cant breathe?
So soon after coming back to Cleveland?
While trying to defend the aggressive blogger pursuing the UVa rape accuser I lost around seven twitter followers.
Tonight I got them back.
I said something nice about a horse and a cat petting each other... that got me some followers.
And then when the blogger mentioned above apologized for what he did wrong, I took the opportunity to mention my losses spent defending his aggressive style.
Some of his followers said let me make up the difference by following you.
So that worked out ok.
Here is the horse and the cat.
LeBron says Rome was not built in a day.
On that note I'm logging off.
I'm caught, my nametag is, on some kind of love fest twitter tread and I have nothing to say. not to mention the hart to tell them to take me out of it.
I got it, I just had to say good night.
Did not buy the album?
YIiiiiii.
One of my favorites, by my second favorite group.
But thanks, I'll be humming it all day now.

I was in college then but working that night in a tiny store in downtown Madison. I remember the announcement on the radio.
Arggggg! Not that song, anything but that song.
Freshman year in the college dorm the guys in the next room used to play it early in the morning, every morning, for what seemed like a whole semester.
The tinny sound coming through the wall while I tried to sleep gave me a hate for it that will never die.
Otherwise Yes was pretty great.

I have a similar revulsion for brandy due to a bad high school experience. But I've grown to realize that I can't besmirch something for others on that basis.
Don't surround yourself with yourself.
Brandy? She's a fine girl. Make somebody a good wife.
That song was about something? Man, who listens to Yes for the lyrics? As far as I can tell, it's basically Jon Anderson's veddy veddy English version of scat.
