A slightly better audio version is here with less interesting visuals.
The monotonic drone sound used by Canned Heat is rather cool. Many credit The Beatles and George Harrison with introducing that to pop music but it was really Dave Davies and The Kinks in See My Friend.
Several of my high school friends went to Woodstock, they actually bought tix. I had to work. My college roommate also went to Woodstock. He lived only about 40 miles away. You can see him pretty clearly on the album cover. His claim to fame. I can usually pick out the bullshitters who say they were there. My roommate sais Canned Heat put on a good performance. But, a good majority of people will tell you, the guy who stole the show was Sly. You can see it in the movie. Ironic a street Negro playing funk was the real star, but politics has made Hendrix the star. There was virtually nobody there when he played! I love Hendrix, but I revere history and DESPISE IT being rewritten.

@Lem: He died of cirrhosis.
Just before 9/11, congressman Gary Condit and the disappearance of his paramour Chandra Levy was the preoccupation of the DC press.
It seems like we are back to that... if not the sexual peccadilloes, it is racial now. more deadly.
He died of cirrhosis... of the liver?
is there any other kind btw?

Metaphorically speaking, yes. Many things are scarred by alcohol.
