“If she was acting on the night of Sept. 28, 2012, then she deserves an Oscar”

"The three students agreed to be interviewed on the condition that The Post use the same aliases as appeared in Rolling Stone because of the sensitivity of the subject."
They said there are mounting inconsistencies with the original narrative in the magazine. The students also expressed suspicions about Jackie’s allegations from that night. They said the name she provided as that of her date did not match anyone at the university, and U-Va. officials confirmed to The Post that no one by that name has attended the school.
Key details of The Rolling Stone story of gang rape at the University of Virginia continue to unravel.

Accounts by friends of the victim, who met with her just after the supposed rape, now differ significantly enough to put into question the entire story. Friends, which by the way, were never contacted by the Rolling Stone journalist for the story, or anyone else, until now. (read the whole thing)

You cant make this stuff up!

We've recently learned that twenty-something law school students are too traumatised by Ferguson and Staten Island to take finals. I can't imagine how traumatized an 18 y.o. would be by a bad date of the usual kind.

One solitary woman tells a pretty far fetched lie about a few fantom men at one fraternity, and the highly educated and credentialed University President goes off the handle and shuts down all fraternities, and even after discovering it's untrue will not undue her overreaction. Hysteria is pandemic. I think this is why as young boys we feared the cooties infection. We were on to something.

I guess there is a death watch on the Rolling Stone site. Waiting to see when they are going to take it down.

I'm going to link to it here and check on it periodically.

Well, to show the total irrationality of it all, the UVA fiminista President canx all SORORITY activities as well. I' should note (and have here previously) by that, by way of comparison, under international law the application of collective guilt and collective punishment is seen a war crime! Some philosophical and intellectual company the UVA President keeps!

Virgil, that's what a 485,000 salary get you.

I just now dreamt my older brother sent me old documents containing a few old leather wallets, checks from himself, various photos and documents all compressed, and while sorting through my Belgian started bugging me to go outside and I'm all, drat, now I must put on my shoes. In my dog-play voice "Where's my shoes? Girl, where's my shoes? " No fair to make her wait and damage her little doggie-kidneys, but she would stop it if I told her to go calm down. So I got up to take her outside to go wee and to play a little bit before returning to the box of documents and boom I woke up still quite concerned about sorting through the compressed papers and eager to get back to them, they were interesting, and very concerned about a dog that is not there and it took several long stretched out moments to go, wait, wait, what? -- there is nothing to look at and nothing to be concerned about, relax.

And oddly that is more interesting to me than a crackpot university president with a bug up her ass about the Greek system on her own campus.

Terrific insight... made me laugh!

It looks more and more like the dimbulbs running the U of VA want all men off of their campus.

Well fine, if that's what they want. Just give the men their own, equal, woman-free campus.

I would like to state that as a white male, in the modern age, I find that particular set of characteristics something NOT to be a source of embarrassment. I do however feel for the rest of you.

I think decorated veterans should be treated with honor and respect, but not all who claim to be decorated veterans are, in fact, decorated veterans. Rape survivor is the woman's equivalent of decorated veteran. It's the kind of thing that attracts a lot of frauds.

During my tour in Nam I was raped by a crazed VC guerrilla. The homophobic bastards in DOD refused to grant me a Purple Heart for the injuries I suffered. Rolling Stone was going to publish an article on this injustice, but they recently decided to kill the story.
