European Union

I am really starting to hate these guys and I don't even know any of them. They really yank my Archie Bunker chain.

As you know, they are the reason everyone and their uncle are emailing us directly at home saying they've changed their privacy policies, please read their changes. European Union got them to scramble. When yo do click through you get fifteen pages of this:

Gobble de gobble de gobble de gook, gobble de legalese, gobble de privacy gobble de gobbley goober turkey gobble gobble gobble cookies and gobbledegobbley gobbley gobble.

On and on. Like you could discern the changes they made from that. They never narrow it down to simply, "we changed this text to this text to reflect new European law."

Here on Blogger, I live behind the front page more than on it. I'm in the dashboards more than I'm reading the content pages. Because I have so many blogs, cooking, pop-up, Egyptian hieroglyphs, animated gifs, and the like. I already wrote the stuff, I just need to see how it looks posted and that's done in "view" pages, not the front of the blog. So, now because of the European Union, every single page in back, stats, view origins, comments, are all headed with big fat stupid block of text from an obnoxious government who's not even the boss of me. Just obnoxious penis-heads.

Just because that additional layer of European government, so obtrusive in all ways imaginable, as unworthy an agency imaginable, expensive and useless as possible, must have us all know they exist.

On every page.

A big-ass block of text that says nothing useful or important; we're protecting our citizens from cookies. Just so everyone worldwide knows these people do something. They have the power to annoy us with their self-referencing text.

Blogger says, "as a courtesy."

The difference between us and the Euros. Bureaucrats writing for bureaucrats, from their "constitution" on.

Our guys wrote our Constitution as Americans writing for Americans. After they fought for it.
