I liked what he did with the East Building at the National Gallery - very innovative. I used the pyramid he built at the Louvre as my landmark while navigating the underground passageways there - very nicely done. 102 is a good run and if my math is correct he was married to his wife for over 70 years - that's more impressive than any edifice he may have built.
Wikipedia says he shunned the Beau Arts movement and connected himself with Bauhaus, associated with Bauhaus principals, knew them all, became friends and associates.
