"Biden himself leaked word of his son's dying wish"

"The vice president is mourning. He’s also calculating"
Joe Biden has been making his 2016 deliberations all about his late son since August.
Aug. 1, to be exact — the day renowned Hillary Clinton-critic Maureen Dowd published a column that marked a turning point in the presidential speculation.
According to multiple sources, it was Biden himself who talked to her, painting a tragic portrait of a dying son, Beau’s face partially paralyzed, sitting his father down and trying to make him promise to run for president because "the White House should not revert to the Clintons and that the country would be better off with Biden values.”
It was no coincidence that the preliminary pieces around a prospective campaign started moving right after that column. People read Dowd and started reaching out, those around the vice president would say by way of defensive explanation. He was just answering the phone and listening.
But in truth, Biden had effectively placed an ad in The New York Times, asking them to call.

This has been no secret. Think of it, who else would have leaked it? A nurse at the hospice? Mrs. Biden or Beau Biden's wife or kids? It could only be Joe Biden. Is it true? Well truth is fluid in the Biden world, but then again no doubt Beau would prefer his dad over Hillary. That story was the signal Biden was seriously considering running.

I don't know how they differ from what we have in the White House now, but "this is a big fucking deal".

The creature! Political animal does not change his spots.
Would be worse than Hillary and harder to beat, the big phony crybaby.

Up against Clinton values, everyone, even Biden, is an innocent cherub.

This nation cannot afford Clinton corruption.

Elect Joe, Do It For Beau!

Think the Dems won't have the chutzpah to make that their campaign slogan? Think again.

Joe is always ham-handed in his brilliance.

Hardly.

If you think so, look at all the charges on your credit card bills. That's Joe's doing, he's been in the hip pocket of the big banks from the beginning.

I feel a little sorry for the doddering old fool. I don't think he's craven enough to make up the story, and he just wants one last chance, and can't see it won't work. Didn't his wife give the go-ahead...good of her to support his need. He never was quite right in the old noggin. I don't know if it started after the aneurysm(s) or before.

Biden will do the bidding of Obama. At least Hillary! will squash some of Obama's nonsense rather than double down on the stupid. She'll start her own brand of stupid, of course. So there's that. Either way we're screwed.
Biden's not a doddering old fool, either. That's the pose of a life-long liar and political opportunist who has risen far enough that he doesn't need to work anymore. Just smile and blurt out something stupid that the press will either not publicize or if they do it'll be all "Uncle Joe's slightly drunk again hahahaha".

Think so? You may want to take a little stroll down Memory Lane.

They missed the one where Joe castigated another Demo for buying a house with a restrictive covenant on it only to have it discovered he did the same thing, but Joe's done more than that.

I'm going to tell you something I've kept to myself for years -- None of you ever knew my son. It was long before your time.
(There is gentle, faraway look in his eyes as he recalls the boy's words). And the last thing he said to me -- "Dad," he said - "sometime, when the USA is up against it -- and the breaks are beating the Democrats -- tell them to go out there with all they got and win just one for my Dad -- Joe Biden...

(Biden's eyes become misty and his voice is unsteady as he finishes). I don't know where I'll be then, Dad", he said - "but I'll know about it - and I'll be happy."

Eh. Biden and Obama are both qualified to wear I'm with stupid tee shirts when they're together.

Biden could barely pull a draw in a debate with Sarah Palin who had only 8 weeks in national politics to Joe's 30 years debating such crap. I thought he actually lost that debate handily. He is not a capable man.

He does a credible imitation of a nice guy, and, for all I know, he might actually be pretty decent in those areas that aren't fraudulent. Also he looks energetic and fit. That's not so easy for a guy in his seventies. I suppose he takes a nap before public appearances and wears a girdle, but he does pull it off. He looks less afflicted with age and over rehearsal than Hillary. He can really look bouncy and spontaneous. That's even harder to fake than sincerity....It's kind of sad that he went through all the pain and expense of hair plugs only to later go bald. The man has known disappointment, but he perseveres. ......I think he would be more incompetent than Hillary but far less annoying. Politics is a trade off.

Yeahbut ... prior abject failures don't count in Democrat Party America. All that matters is the feeeeeelings in the present moment.
