We are really down to a very few regular TV shows that we follow on the traditional channels. Which is a shame because I remember well how I used to love to watch all my favorite shows. Like on a Sunday night when we would watch the Wonderful World of Disney and then Bonanza. Or when I Dream of Jeanie and Bewitched were on. Or Mary Tyler Moore and All in the Family. Good Times. The Jeffersons. Cheers. Friends. Seinfeld. NYPD Blue. Hunter. Mannix. The Fugitive. Have Gun Will Travel. The Rifleman. All of those great shows.

It's all over now.

Every show is a politically correct suck fest. One of the few that we still watch is Chicago Fire. Mainly for nostalgia as my father-in-Law was a fireman and like to see them in action saving people. But the last episode just killed that. 

In this episode there were no fires. No rescues. Not even the soap opera relationship bullshit that they throw in for the broads. It was all about coddling criminals.

The fire chief goes to a supermarket to get some spices because they were going to barbeque and a mook drives a car through the front of the store. Jumps out and starts shooting at the cops pegging about ten shots at them and getting return fire. He takes a bunch of people hostage and threatens to murder them many times. The fire chief talks him down and praises him and tells him they can negotiate so he won't go to jail for the rest of his life. One of the hostages is retired lawyer and promises to defend him, He brings out a badly injured hostage and negotiates a plea deal for a reduced sentence which is just bullshit because the cops don't have the authority to do that. In the end they find a dead body in the market who was killed in the opening salvo. No telling by who but the fire chief claims it was the cops because they are always to blame in Chicago.  The skell knows that he is facing murder charges, so he walks outside to commit suicide by cop. The chief runs out and tackles him and all of the firemen surround them to stop the cops from shooting. Because you have to protect the criminals at all cost.

This show was all about making a stone ass criminal sympathic and protecting him. The wife was irate. She really hated that they spoiled her fireman show with this politically correct tripe. So we are crossing this off of our list.

The only thing we have left now are the Real Housewives and cooking shows. 

It is sick out there and getting sicker.

I wish I could drink Red Bull but I my heart can't take it.

To continue with a theme let's praise the management of Red Bull. The CEO fired two executives who tried to install a Black Lives Mater forced ideology on the Brand. From the Daily Maiil:

This is perfect. Instead of bowing dow and taking a knee which everyone from the NFL to the NYPD has done this Kraut just fired the social justice warriors and said no racial discrimination is alllowed. That includes discrimination against white people.

Revolutionary! Epic! Unheard of in this day and age!

When Red Bull first came out the wife put it in the bar she was managing. They were one of the first bars in NYC to stock it and sell cocktails like Red Bull and Vodka! So they were very lloyal to us.. When we opened the store they did a big promotion on our opening with free Red Bull and gave us fifty cases.

They are great company. I know most of us are too old and sick to drink it but buy a case for your grandkids. That's what I am going to do!

I wrote it and then I deleted it

I wrote a whole post about how the stars of the show Glee were doomed but I deleted it. I thought about and I thought that some of my coauthors might not want to be associated with my thoughts.

I thought about the thought police who might find the post and try to destroy me and mine.

It is just not worth it anymore. You can't count on the First Amendment to protect you. You can't count on the government or the law to protect you.

You are on your own.

"Hey You Guys – You Can’t Say “You Guys” Anymore"

Acculturated:  On campus, political correctness has become the Santa Claus who offers no presents. It sees you when you’re sleeping. It knows when you’re awake. It’s definitely making lists and checking them twice, and you’d better be correct for correctness’ sake. Otherwise you won’t even get a lump of coal, just a letter informing you how really sorry everyone is that they had to expel you for your own good.

Yet another sense-demolishing instance of campus lunacy was reported last week in The New York Times, which informed readers that their children off at college are being sternly warned not to say “you guys” (it might make women feel excluded), not to “show surprise” if a feminine-looking woman says she is a lesbian (acting ability now being as essential as learning ability) and to be very very careful about singing along with rap lyrics, even when alone in a car.

Needless to say, everyone should be on the lookout for “white privilege” and report any suspicions along these lines to the authorities for immediate correction. Helpful re-education camps are already being set up for this purpose. (more)

I have been a football fan for over fifty years. My Dad took me to my first game when I was six in the first grade. We went to Yankee Stadium to see the Giants. They had a great team. Went to the Championship game and lost. Allie Sherman was the coach. YA Tittle. Frank Gifford. Dick Lynch. Sam Huff. The old Giants.

We got to go to one game a year. It was impossible to get tickets. They were handed down from one family member to another. There was a ten year waiting list. But we would scrounge and get a ticket now then through the down years with Fran Tarkington and Norm Snead and Joe Pisarcik. They had moved to Jersey by then so it was a hike.

Australian school bans clapping in favor of silent cheer

News.com.au: CLAPPING has been banned at a Sydney primary school which has introduced “silent cheering”, “pulling excited faces” and “punching the air” to respect students who are “sensitive to noise”.

The school now only allows its pupils “to conduct a silent cheer” when prompted by teachers and says the practice “reduces fidgeting”.

Elanora Heights Public School, which is on Sydney’s northern beaches, announced its new “silent cheer” policy in its latest school newsletter.

The ban on clapping at Elanora Heights Primary School emerged on the same day that an exclusive girls school banned teachers from calling “ladies” or “women” in favour of “gender-neutral” terms.

NY Post:  The neo-Orwellianism comes to us from the bizarre flurry of last-minute diktats, regulations and bone-chilling threats collectively known to fanboys as Obama’s Gorgeous Goodbye.

In another of those smiley-faced, but deeply sinister, “Dear Colleague” letters sent to universities and college this week, Obama’s Education Secretary John King discouraged colleges from asking applicants whether they were convicted criminals.

An accompanying pamphlet was called “Beyond the Box: Increasing Access to Higher Education for Justice-Involved Individuals.”

So rapists, burglars, armed robbers and drug dealers aren’t criminals anymore. These folks are simply “involved” with “justice,” according to Obamanoids.

Political Correctness is destroying our Country!

Political correctness has destroyed our country. I don't care that it has destroyed college life. I don't care that it has destroyed the process of hiring employees. I don't care that it has destroyed going to the bathroom. But when it destroys a classic Western it is time for violence.

They remade the Magnificent Seven. The villains are not Mexicans. They  are white guys. Actually a mine company who want to develop fossil fuels or something. The leader of the Seven is played by Denzel Washington. The premise is that a white woman in the 1880's went to a black guy for help. Right. You got your historical accuracy right there. The fact of the matter is Denzil would have been hanged just for talking to her but now he is her savior.

The other members of the Seven include a Chinese guy and a Native American. What no transgenders? No lesbians? WTF! This cannot stand.

The fact of the matter is I would have made a fantastic remake of the Magnificent Seven set in the present day that would have starred Denzel. Imagine this. A housing project is being terrorized by a Mexican gang led by a Cartel linked gangster called Talvera. A young black girl goes to the local drug lord played by Denzel and pleads for help. For the chilrens! Or maybe he is a retired drug/gang guy but has a fearsome rep. He goes out and recruits a bunch of other guys. Say a retired Mafia hit man guy who owes him a favor and hates his life now that the Mob is over and wants to go out in a blaze of glory..  A Puerto Rican ex boxer who likes knives and hates Mexicans. A big guy who is down on his luck but wishes he could have been a father to the babies he had with a bunch of baby Momma's. The Charles Bronson part. Make him a disgraced old football player with a fearsome rep like Jack Tatum or something. Man the possibilities are endless. You could have made a great action movie set in the present day using the tenplate of the Seven and had a great politically incorrect movie.

But Hollywood would never do that. I won't be going to see this piece of shit. Just like I won't go to see that Tarrentiono abortion the Hateful Eight even though some of my favorites like Russell and Goggins are in it. I have better Westerns playing in my head than they make these days.

Maybe I can make that story a continuing series here at Lems? Nah. Spinelli would get mad. He hates repetition. Never mind.

These types of records are the basis for any ability to “connect dots.”  Every day, DHS Customs and Border Protection officers watch entering and exiting many individuals associated with known terrorist affiliations, then look for patterns. Enforcing a political scrubbing of records of Muslims greatly affected our ability to do that. Even worse, going forward, my colleagues and I were prohibited from entering pertinent information into the database.

A few weeks later, in my office at the Port of Atlanta, the television hummed with the inevitable Congressional hearings that follow any terrorist attack. While members of Congress grilled Obama administration officials, demanding why their subordinates were still failing to understand the intelligence they had gathered, I was being forced to delete and scrub the records. And I was well aware that, as a result, it was going to be vastly more difficult to “connect the dots” in the future—especially before an attack occurs. (read the whole thing)

The multilingual Rampling had given a Friday radio interview to a French journalist in which she said of the lack of any nominees of color, "We can never know if it was really the case, but perhaps the black actors did not deserve to be in the final straight."

When her interviewer asked about the possibility of quotas, she responded, “Why classify people? These days everyone is more or less accepted ... People will always say: ‘Him, he’s less handsome’; ‘Him, he’s too black’; ‘He is too white’ ... someone will always be saying ‘You are too’ (this or that) ... But do we have to take from this that there should be lots of minorities everywhere?”

By Friday evening, she was on board: “Diversity in our industry is an important issue that needs to be addressed,” her statement continued. “I am highly encouraged by the changes announced today by the academy to diversify its membership.”

Donald Trump warned Tuesday of “many more World Trade Centers” if his call for a total ban on Muslims entering the US is not heeded.

“You’re going to have many more World Trade Centers if you don’t solve it — many, many more and probably beyond the World Trade Center,” Trump told CNN.

The Republican presidential front-runner said he believes there are already terrorists in the country who want to unleash death and destruction.

“They want our buildings to come down. They want our cities to be crushed,” he said. “They are living in our country and many are outside of our country.”

The mogul also slammed President Obama for refusing to acknowledge that the United States is at war with extremist Islam.

“We are at war with radical Islamic terrorism,” he told CNN. “We have a president that made a fool out of himself the other night. He doesn’t even mention the term. He refused to use the term. Nobody understands why. If you’re not going to even use the term, you’re never going to solve the problems.”

Trump is rejecting criticism that his proposal is un-American and has critics comparing him to Adolf Hitler.

He said what he’s calling for is “no different” than President Franklin Roosevelt — “who was highly respected by all” despite his measures during World War II that included putting Japanese-Americans in internment camps in the US.

Those camps, however, have been widely decried in the decades since the war.

Trump on Monday called for a “total and complete shutdown” on Muslims entering the country that should remain in place “until our country’s representatives can figure out what’s going on.”

Many of his fellow GOP presidential candidates have denounced the incendiary proposal.

Prime Minister of Hungary: All the terrorists are migrants

“The majority of our leaders in the West deny the fact,” he adds. That denial of the “obvious” — which the Hungarian leader blames on political correctness run amok — destabilizes European politics by increasing “the gap between the leaders and the people.”

I guess this guy is not counting on the migrant swing vote.

Jennifer Lawrence tells Vogue magazine that Kentucky County Clerk Kim Davis, who was jailed in September for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, makes her feel “embarrassed to be from Kentucky.”

The Oscar-winning actress didn’t shy away from political topics during an interview for the fashion publication’s December issue. She went off when Davis’ name was brought up.

“Don’t even say her name in this house,” said Lawrence. “All those people holding their crucifixes, which may as well be pitchforks, thinking they’re fighting the good fight. I grew up in Kentucky. I know how they are.”
