Humor that walks close to the edge of truth, tends to engage and be found funny and/or intriguing by those who know how to stay centered. It can even include, touch on or reveal the anger that accompanies experiences of injustice and incongruity as long as it doesn't get pulled off course by fear and veer into contempt or rage.
With the Biden cartoons, it was difficult to avoid contempt, as I found some (most) of his behavior and the blindness surrounding him so blatent and incongruent it tipped off outrage. Which is why I especially appreciated the inclusion of the sippy cup, empty cloud and buzzing fly in Branco's cartoons--as they provided an acknowledgement that worked as a buffer.

It's so sad when you realize that this nation has lost its sense of humor.
That was funny!
Here's a black comic who pushed it to the limit.

The country has its sense of humor. The Lefties lost theirs somewhere around 1964.
Or 1864. Depends how many laughs there were in the purges.
Comedy has been described as tragedy that happens to somebody else. Sometimes it depends on how aware you are of your alter ego.
