My team the Giants are one of the worst offenders. They have a couple of morons who protested all season. They didn't do jack. I am really happy that I don't have tickets or have to go to the game. Today is a rainy miserable day. I would have to take the train to the City and then get on a bus. Sit in the rain and be miserable. Not for me anymore. The abdication of responsibility by the team has freed me from fandom. To be a fan is to be a fanatic. You put up with a big ration of shit to root for your team. The Giants used to have a devoted fan base where you couldn't get season tickets. There was a waiting list 50,000 strong. People handed down their tickets from father to son. I only got mine because the real owner didn't want his son to use his ticket because after he graduated from college he had to kick in for it and he refused. So for ten years he sold the single seat to me. It was a great seat on the Aisle. But that guy gave up his tickets when they ripped everyone off with the new stadium. They wanted to charge him thirty grand for a seat license plus the cost of the tickets. So he gave them up after they had been in his family from Yankee Stadium through the Yale Bowl all the way to the Meadowlands. Like thousand of other real fans they screwed and abandoned him for the money.

Instead of watching football I read, wrote a little and cooked a very nice stew for this cold and nasty day. The first cold weather food of the season. I don't miss the game. I didn't watch a play last season. I won't watch one this season. This is the last post I will do for the year about football. Well unless Jerry Kramer sends me another chapter of the unedited "Instant Replay." Otherwise I don't give two shits.

The Miami Dolphins were the first team to set up a policy that they would fine or suspend players who decided to knell. The NFL would prefer the players’ now-ubiquitous protests take a back seat to the action this season, but it looks like the league won’t get its wish.

If anything, the players seem ready to take their social critique beyond sitting during the anthem.

Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett, who is among the ranks of NFL players to sit during the national anthem, celebrated a sack Sunday afternoon with a single raised fist.

Bennett was the first Seattle player announced during pregame introductions before the home opener against the 49ers and received one of the loudest ovations.

Then he took what’s become his usual seat on the bench during the national anthem.

Protesters supporting Bennett, who says he was subjected to racial profiling and excessive force when Las Vegas police detained him last month, gathered outside the stadium.

Giants WR Marshall: ‘Black Guys in America Get Treated Differently’

Controversial New York Giants wide receiver Brandon Marshall was in Baltic, CT on Thursday to participate in a charity golf tournament benefiting “The Johnny Damon Foundation.”

Nothing controversial about that.

But when he agreed to appear on WEEI’s Kirk and Callahan Show during a remote broadcast from the course, things took an ugly turn and ended with Marshall walking off the set.

The Boston sports talk hosts brought up a 2015 quote from Marshall, and fireworks ensued. Marshall said white quarterbacks might not get disciplined as harshly by the NFL.

“There are a lot of players out there that believe that—white players specifically, at the quarterback position—are treated differently,” Marshall said in September 8, 2015 on Showtime’s Inside the NFL.

Asked by Showtime host Adam Schein if he believes black players are held to a different standard, Marshall said, “Absolutely. At times, yes.”

Smoking Gun? New Email Evidence May Show Eli Manning Defrauded Memorabilia Collectors, Lawyer Says

 Well, Eli Manning’s offseason just got a whole lot more interesting.

Potentially damning evidence has emerged in the ongoing memorabilia fraud case between New York Giants signal caller Eli Manning and some sports memorabilia collectors. The suit alleges that Manning cooperated with memorabilia dealer Steiner Sports to sell helmets to fans who thought they were purchasing game-used helmets.

Among court documents obtained by the New York Post is an email from Manning to a Giants equipment manager in 2010. In the email, Manning asks the equipment manager if he could provide, “2 helmets that can pass as game used.”

Manning’s apparent lack of concern over whether or not the helmets were game-used authentic has the plaintiff’s attorney Brian Brook up in arms. Brook told the New York Post, that the email constitutes, “direct evidence that Manning knowingly gave fraudulent helmets to Steiner for sale to fans.”

The email, disclosed by Manning and his attorneys, originated from Manning’s private account.

I have not watched one down of football this season. Colin Kaperdick and Roger the Dodger and the obsession with Black Lives Matters and liberal politics have ended my decades long love affair with football. The game is dead to me. I will not be watching the Super Bowl. Even though I am trying to ignore it the bullshit stills seeps into my consciousness.

Politically correct commercials supporting immigration and trashing America. Social Justice Warrior pussies posing as sports writers trashing Tom Brady because he is friends with Donald Trump. Hey I never liked Tom Brady. But now they are forcing me to be his die hard partisan.

Worst of all is the half time show. I thought nothing would top the Anti-Catholic screed that toxic cunt Niki Minaj did but then that dump Beyonce did her Black Lives Matter/Black Panther thing to the applause of Roger Goodell and the hierarchy of the NFL. I am sure that Lady Gaga will top it with some over the top attack insulting the half of deplorable America that voted for Donald Trump. Anyone who supports football after this continual display of contempt for you is just a misguided fool.

I will be doing something else tonight. Cooking up a batch of spiralized zucchini. Taping a video about it for Instagram. Then catching something on Hulu or Netflicks. Maybe watching something off of Youtude on my Smart TV. The NFL has lost me and millions of former fans like me. I will not watch one down of the game. For the first time ever.

So I walk into the bank down the block yesterday to make some checks. There are these two sharped dressed dudes waiting for the manager.  I am immersed in my own affairs and don't pay too much attention. Just enough the way you always do in the city. You want to be sure they aren't going to start shooting.

These mooks were there to promote Brooklyn Nets Basketball. I guess they picked Chase because every single employee is black. I don't know how that happened. Well I do know how that happened but waddayagonna do? The had a token Italian guy for a while to talk to the old timers who still had money in the bank but that ended three years ago.

Anyway these guys were peddling tickets to the Nets. They were trying to sell season packages and as a come on were offering floor seats for $50. I thought nothing of it and finished my transactions (after the usual endless difficulties).
