Via Drudge: The Department of Homeland Security has issued a waiver to waive certain laws, regulations and other legal requirements to ensure the expeditious construction of barriers in the vicinity of the international border near Calexico, California. The waiver was published in the Federal Register today.
This current waiver covers certain border infrastructure projects in the United States Border Patrol's El Centro Sector, a critical sector for border security. In fiscal year 2016 alone, the United States Border Patrol apprehended more than 19,400 undocumented immigrants and seized approximately 2,899 pounds of marijuana and approximately 126 pounds of cocaine in the El Centro Sector.
The El Centro Sector remains an area of high illegal entry, and replacing the existing fencing, which was built in the 1990s and no longer meets the Border Patrol's operational needs, is a high priority.

So the next step is various environmental groups will sue the federal government. Ninth circuit will then impose injunction to stop construction. It will take two years for SCOTUS to review issue and find that Trump has a phone and pen just like Obama's.

Isn't it amazing how government can waive certain regulations and laws to get something done, but when it comes to something like the 2A, nope.
Oh Meth, Obama would have loved to waive his phone and pen in regards to getting something done about 2A. The thing is, 2A says the government should do nothing.

That's my point, unfortunately, states like California have basically found ways around the 2A to restrict usage which is an infringement, but the Fed and SCOTUS are gutless to have done anything about them.
