The thing is, people will have their name in hieroglyphics or an ankh maybe a protective eye or a winged solar disc, what have you, and although the ankh and the like really are design elements used in architectural friezes and furniture and such they're almost never repeated singularly that I can recall offhand, it's possible, but usually you see them in combination similar to live long and prosper. You do see, ankh-was, ankh-was, ankh-was repeated a lot. Ankh-wedja-seneb is another typical formulaic phrase that is seen quite a lot, life, prosperity, health, that is, live long and prosper.
I just experienced a severe bummer. I had 24 hundred really cool phrases lost when the host server tripled their prices. I cancelled the service and I failed to transfer the files in time. My loss. Now the phrases are down to six hundred odd phrases that were not hosted there. I had to go through from beginning to end and delete all the pages with the broken links to the deleted phrases. Had I only uploaded directly to Blogger then I'd still have everything. Too bad. But there are still a lot of very good ones remaining. People still use the site and now they won't get fake out results. And there will be even better ones to come.
How about this for a phrase? It sounds almost Christian, or maybe new age.
"You will pass eternity in happiness and in praises of the god who is in you, your heart will be with you. It will not forsake you."Touch'n. Isn't that sweet?
Looks like this:
Maybe that's too big for this site and should probably be reduced so it doesn't stick out and run over that stuff over there but sometimes you just want to intrude.
It's trying to look like this.
I did this in JSesh. You must have the code, either Gardiner's code or the Manuel de Cordage, it's a bit odd, the hieroglyphic code is represented by a code that is represented by a computer code. When Egyptologists discuss hieroglyphic text they talk in Gardiner's code for each sign. They describe ligatures with code. For example, the code for this string looks like this:
O35{{0,458,100}}**D58{{1022,0,97}}**D54{{1626,0,100}}**V31{{1540,770,100}}**G4A{{2572,0,98}}**V28{{3617,0,98}}**V28{{3901,0,98}}**N5{{4204,274,100}}**G17{{4662,0,98}}**M29{{5578,0,98}}**G17{{5814,0,98}}**Y1v{{6730,0,98}}**F34{{6951,0,76}}**Z1{{7208,697,76}}**V28{{7522,0,98}}**W14{{7805,0,98}}**S29{{8244,0,98}}**G43{{8442,0,73}}**X1{{8558,830,73}}**A1{{9069,0,65}}**Z2{{9034,740,65}}**Z1{{9917,347,131}}_**R8{{9778,0,97}}**M17{{10254,0,98}}**Z11{{10488,0,98}}**G17{{11042,0,98}}**Z4{{12211,0,100}}**V31{{11958,770,100}}**E34{{12991,397,100}}**N35{{14047,0,100}}**N35{{14047,772,100}}**F4{{15096,5,100}}**X1{{15225,760,101}}**Z4{{15767,690,82}}**F34{{16199,0,76}}**Z1{{16455,697,76}}**V31{{16758,434,100}}**V28{{17796,0,98}}**N35{{18080,0,119}}**D36{{18103,652,92}}**V31{{19322,451,100}}**D35{{20349,0,101}}**N35{{20349,772,100}}**D58{{21387,0,97}}**V15{{21905,0,94}}**X1{{22128,777,94}}**D54{{22878,0,100}}**I9{{22814,739,100}}**X1{{23804,521,100}}**G43{{24109,8,98}}-!
Believe it or not that does make sense. Say, when you look randomly at the center of the patch of code and see Z4 you picture two little strokes in your mind. You know Z means strokes and 4 is the 4th arrangement. It's means "two" and the picture it represents two slanted parallel marks. That Z4 is in front of V31 that represents a picture of a woven basket with a handle. It's actually on top of the basket so there is code for that too. See the code and automatically see the little hieroglyphic picture. And that's how they discuss matters of text.
Wouldn't it make a cool tattoo?
