The changes are also an effort to correct steep ratings declines, which have plagued the network for years.

"MSNBC has formally decided to cancel three programs -- "The Cycle," "Now with Alex Wagner" and "The Ed Show" -- as part of a larger effort to shift its daytime lineup away from opinion programming, network sources told the On Media blog on Thursday."

What does it mean? I've never watched any of those shows.
Apparently very few people did. So they are gone.

Maybe viewers just aren't that fond of being told things that aren't true. Brian Williams will help with their credibility. He recently gave NASA some close up photos of Pluto that he took with a space probe he built in his garage while on "hiatus", which I think is what the kids today call "molly".
It won't work. Seriously, the daytime TV audience is female, and they by and large are not going to watch news. They want celebrity, they want girl show, game shows, "The View". That kind of stuff. If the market won't take any more of that genre, then that indicates there are too many TV networks vying for a stable or declining veiwership.
Once possibly-legitimate news shows have learned that the only way to get/keep viewership is to balkanize and play to one political extreme or the other, or to one gender or the other(s).
NPR and PBS evening news are not exceptions, but they are the only places on radio/TV where you can get a long and comprehensive discussion of various sides of an issue.

You guys don't understand the reason for MSNBC. NBC/Universal doesn't care about the low ratings, after all I doubt MSNBC loses money, after all its just talking heads - and a lot of them are under contract with NBC news anyway.
The whole purpose of MSNBC is to be the Left-wing Network. That way the liberal MSM can write off Fox as "The right-wing MSNBC". You got Fox on the right, you got MSNBC on the left and in the middle, the credible, the normal middle you got NBC/CBS/ABC/PBS.
Plus MSNBC functions as a farm team and an old folks home for NBC news.
The fact that the President of MSNBC never gets fired tells you all you need to know.
MSNBC is farther down on the leftwing scale than FOX is to the right.
FOX is under the microscope when it comes to content. If Megan Kelly makes a mistake in her reporting, it's all over the local news here. really.

I saw it in flash in my mind as large groups of dots sort of floating when the two distinctly different names Cecil and Cecil were mentioned, one who murders to keep the killer bloodline pure and the other a lion the dots then are energy and the energy itself is important the energy that holds together atoms and molecules is like the magnetic energy of collective thought seen as dots coalescing around the human subject against their natural polarization, they are in the process of uncomfortable polar shift, independently they would rather not they would rather go somewhere else but the attractive power seems impossible to resist unless... unless another counter opposite power station establishes by force of collective thought to draw the dots to it to coalesce around it, thus the lion appears as if by magic.
