I listened to him a long time and he is interesting, but all of it is review, from my pov droning repetition, yours too I think, so tautology. But I like it. A review of familiar things all at once, tautology, droning repetition, fire with fire and the rest.
It is comforting. Thank you, Ted Cross I mean Cruz for the ear comfort. It's egg zakly like familiar Egyptian formula. Because you see all that giggly writing and think, okay let's give it a go, and it turns out to be this or a portion of that or a version of that and bang it's familiar right off, a familiar formula. Like Santa Clause, or baby Jesus, you know it right off. That is what Ted Croxxxxx Cruz is doing.
HERE he is visiting Daryl Hall's house to jam. You can pick any part of the show from the menu on the lower right like the intro, or any song they sing, and just watch some magic.
If you haven't discovered this show "Live From Daryl's House", it is just awesome. You're up close, and intimate with some of the greatest artists ever, just having a great time doing what they do. He gets the most amazing people over to jam. Try it.
TED talks, Technology Education Design, a YouTube phenomenon. Smart people give talks on stage. Several hundred million views.
But there are complaints about the talks going downhill. The talk used to exemplify the downhill trend was one given on the proper way of tying one's shoes.
And that bummed me out because that talk was particularly helpful to me. I've been doing it wrong all along and knowing the proper way, at this late juncture, has saved my shoes from coming untied. A problem that has vexed me my whole life.
I recall the day, the moment, the room, the light, the sounds, smell, the whole situation when my brother showed me how to tie my shoes. He told me explicitly loop the lace into a bunny ear and the bunny goes into the hole.
Not so.
The bunny comes out of the hole. And that makes all the difference in the world. Thank you TED.
I make two bunny ears and tie them in a knot. I think it ends up being the same knot, but that's the only way I ever learned to do it.
I mostly buy shoes now that have new innovative tightening that does not involve bunny ears at all. Velcro was a good solution, but like another great idea (the fanny pack) you just can't do it. People will point at you. I wish I had the courage to rock a fanny pack and velcro shoes. Occasionally, I will sport a fanny pack and just make people deal with it. I chant "My fanny is packed, and that's that. Deal with it." You can't stay in closet on this stuff, or we all lose.
I want Cruz and others to ask the local media for the representatives in both the House and Senate to explain why they think they need something other than Obamacare. Wouldn't hurt to challenge Obama on national TV and ask why him and his family won't be stuck with this clusterfuck.
There are two knots that look similar - the bow knot and the granny knot. One stays tied, the other does not. If your shoes do not stay tied, wrap the loose end the opposite direction - you have been tying granny knots not bow knots.
