greed

Is it?

How is this much different than the movie where the devil appears as a hot drop dead gorgeous woman in candy apple red who promises and delivers the young man everything for his soul?

First, do you have a soul? It is a sincere question. Does an atheist have a soul whether or not they think they do? If no, then all this is easy to explain. If so, then impossible.

This is what the Pope is on about. I read earlier today a question wondering why the Pope is hung up on the devil. Why does Pope Francis keep talking about the devil himself being alive and running around creating havoc?

Because of things like this Planned Parenthood doctors selling fetal tissue for profit and speaking about pricing carelessly over lunch.

Pow. I had one of those insight things that happens when people who read a bit of history suddenly connect with the people before them who previously seemed so odd, quaint, and remote. A connecting thread of truth lights up that runs through the various wrappings of their lives. I get you. It is noted in observable behavior even then that when one little piece of moral code is ignored then that allows that area to be filled with something not of the moral code, something possibly evil. Something so base as prestige or in this case characterized as greed.

It's not greed I don't think. She has a car. She doesn't want more cars. She doesn't want a car that drives fast, c'mon, she's not going to drive a performance car for its performance. She has a good car already. I think it's just a name that came to mind as she reached for a bon mot that represented disposable wealth as signaled by such a vehicle. So, prestige.

She became so casual with her line that rewarded her effort for so long that it became possible to even have casual conversations about being lowballed on fetal cell clusters that she has her hands on and use phrases like "less crunchy" technique for handling such cell clusters, and do this over lunch with sparkling wine glasses.

Then people with souls will observe that casual conversation about pricing aborted fetal cell tissues and reference what they see as evil. And they always have. All people through history have observed such behavior in their areas. They too observed the banality of evil occupying vacated space. The more lax with moral code then the more area for observable evil to enter and to thrive and then so much of this in so many areas of relaxed moral code by so many drifting souls that a great deal of observable evil is seen moved into vacated space, so much that it is actually personified.

And not just visualized, actually seen running rampant. Then as now.

This is why the Pope actually sees the devil and speaks of evil personified and speaks of it wresting control.

Somebody (long time ago) screened an ultrasound of a baby being aborted for a NOW chapter and all the harpies applauded joyously at the end.

The difference between the Left and the SS?

The SS had the highest suicide, substance abuse (including booze), and mental crack-up rates of any military or para-military organization of WWII. In the end, the consciences of many of those people would not let them get away with what they were doing.

The Left has no conscience.

What is evil? Indifference. Indifference is much worse than hate because in hate at least there is a connection, albeit a negative connection to others. In indifference there is no connection. A fetus is life and a potential human life. To treat it as so many body parts or organs to be harvested in order to buy a Lamborghini is shocking because of the indifference, the total lack of connection of a life to another life.

At the minimum leftists are effectively sociopaths.

Maybe that's why Dolf offed himself.

In the story of the temptation of Christ, Satan, also known as the Accuser, shows up and quotes scripture to Jesus, using words from a Psalm believed to have been written by Moses. In response, Jesus quotes a verse from the book of Deuteronomy, known to have been written by Moses. In doing so he effectively rebuffed Satan and maintained his integrity.

Nicely done, chickelit. In the long run integrity matters.
