So, "Meet The Press" becomes a bit more "Press The Meat" (keeping with the grilling metaphor)?

Todd used to be a bouncer... (not that there is anything wrong with that)

You link to the entire interview is an interview from a year ago on Obamacare.

Not doing anything is an ingenious strategy - assuming you can talk it up enough. And Lord knows the man can talk things up. He can even make "uh… uh… uh…" into ceremonial oratory.

"Uh… two score and… uh…. thirteen years ago…. uh… My Father…. uh…. Barack Hussein Obama, Sr…. uh… knocked up some white girl… uh… that he met in Hawaii. (Emphasis on actually finishing a sentence). Now… uh… My Father… uh… wasn't the type of guy to dwell on things… uh… so he scooted his ass up to Harvard to get a degree! (Another sentence emphatically, if finally completed). (Applause)."

"But you see… uh… he wasn't content with just living the American dream…. uh… Like others, he uh wanted, uh… to see what other things he could do in the world…." (Speech finally tightens up by devolving into a statement on others, relinquishing him of psychological and rhetorical uncertainty).

Fixed, thanks.

"By the time this decade is out… uh… I… uh… plan to uh… get up to a podium and uh… finish a sentence without saying the word 'Uh!'"

"I choose to finish my sentences… uh… not because it is easy, but because… uh… it is hard!"

"I choose to finish my sentences! I choose to finish my sentences!"

I think he implied the Repubs are the disloyal opposition re immigration ?

And he knows what is best for the country so he will do what he wants via exec order.

It is so comforting that this inexperienced dunce is president.

I thought Obama was elected because he would empathize with Americans in a way other presidents couldn't or wouldn't.

Given a chance he was tongue tied.

Is it because when matched against his empathies for the Islamic world... there is no contest.

Brit Hume: Obama told a friend of mine before he was elected, “Wouldn't it be great for the world if I were president?”

There is no doubt that some people in the world think so, especially now. It's just very distressing to know who those lucky assholes are, and what they intend to do for the world.

I do believe R & B has come over to the dark side. Welcome fellow racist.

Todd seems more like a skipper than a bouncer. Just sayn'

I actually saw Chuck Todd approaching a Florida airport bookstore I was in with his phone on and ear buds in.

Also saw Tom Friedman sauntering around a long line in front of the US Airways customer service desk during a string of flight delays at Dulles.

There is absolutely no point to these confessionals. Other than, perhaps, to note that they're as boring and inconsequential in person as they are in print or on a projected screen.

Is Obama even any good at golf? I know that after years of playing basketball he can still manage to miss 20 out of 22 shots on his own private court surrounded by 4 foot tall opponents, but surely with all the high end golfers he gets to hang with he is better at that game.

Can you imagine anyone missing that many shots ... ON CAMERA EVEN!. I know this is old news, but it just came to me watching that video that it perfectly expresses his terms as President. He fails time after time while children and sycophants keep cheering him on like a handicapped child, just waiting for an accident of success to validate their love.

It reminds me of this classic quote:

Bless his heart.

Bago- I read recently that Obama averages 94 on the links so no, he is not any good at golf.

I ran into Hall of Famers on business trips: Paul Hornung, George Brett and Wilt the Stilt. By "ran into" I mean I saw them in airports or restaurants.

Obama: Give it up, Chuck. Did you ever steal over $800 billion from the American People, spread it around to your fellow grifters, call it "Stimulus" and get away with it? Well, I did. That's how far above you I am. Next question.

Chuck: (speechless)

Schmendrick: I worship that man.

Bags, I read the MV Times. I remember them reporting a year or two ago Obama shoots in the 90's.

Who do I "worship" here, ric? There are 6-year old madrasa-attending Qur'an reciters who are less illiterate than you are.

Every one of ric's comments here reads like its own sura.

Game plan?

Game plan?!?!?!

Where'd that come from?

No. Don't tell me.

I'm going to brush the dog.

edutcher said...

We've had this problem for how many years and he still takes two weeks to come up with something to say?

Christy said...

Isn't promising a game plan on 9/10 the same as inviting ISIS to act on 9/11?

Schmendrik is such a great name for Ritmo.

Like I said - it is so comforting that this inexperienced dunce is president.

Whoever did the lighting and camerawork during that interview was deeply in love with Obama. Whenever Obama starts talking, my ears wax over and I zone out. But he remained photogenic.. He was lit with rich, warm colors and the camera came in for a close up as he thoughtfully pursed his lips. I've seen Obama in some dorky photos, but never on NBC. So far as the technical aspects of the interview went, they did all they could to help him.
