I was told there would be no Dylan.....just sandwiches

And death shall have no dominion.
Dead men naked they shall be one
With the man in the wind and the west moon;
When their bones are picked clean and the clean bones gone,
They shall have stars at elbow and foot;
Though they go mad they shall be sane,
Though they sink through the sea they shall rise again;
Though lovers be lost love shall not;
And death shall have no dominion.

Festivus is cancelled

Jerry Stiller has died at 92.

There will be plenty of tributes and remembrances of his long career.

I just want to say one thing.

I found him to be very annoying.

I finally know someone who supposedly died of the coronavirus

I know a lot of people. From living in New York and working in and around Times Square for thirty years and having the store and all the bullshit I have done in my life. With all of those people I did not know anyone who died because of this corona virus bullshit until today. Jimmy Glenn has passed.

They have the story in today's New York Post. Jimmy was 89 so he had a good run. He was a fixture at his bar on 44th Street where he was surrounded with boxing photos from his long career as a trainer. In the early eighties I would eat lunch in there about three times a week. Now he didn't serve food at the time. A couple of guys from the office and I would go and get our shoes shined next door. Then we would hit the chinks to get a take out and bring it to the bar to drink our lunch. The bar tender was an old friend of mine from when he was the day guy at The Quiet Man. So we would sit and watch the tv and enjoy a lunch on a slow summer day.

Later it would be a place to hit when we did a pub crawl. Jimmy might be in the bar then and we would catch up. I think he was managing Terence Ali at the time. I had tickets to the boxing shows at the Felt Forum and would sometimes see him there. He was a class act all the way.

I think he is like 90% of the people who are succumbing to this virus. He was old and with health problems. If it wasn't this it would have been the regular flu or pneumonia. It's is a shame but no reason to shut the whole country down. You know if we could ask Jimmy I think he would agree. He was a very sensible guy

RIP Jimmy. Hoist a couple in Heaven for me.

WKRLEM TV Roseanne Scamardella in all her glory...plus Natalie Wood

Sixty brought up old memories when he mentioned Roseanne Roseannadanna.

You see the real Roseanne was the one and only Roseanne Scamardella and we actually have a connection. You see she was my next door neighbor on President Street in 1975. She was married to Assemblyman Mike Pesce at the time and was becoming a big deal on TV news. She was among the first Italian Americans who kept their ethnic sounding name and were being featured on TV at the time. Along with Jerry Rivers and John Johnson she was the face of diverisity on the old Eyewitness News

I don't have a lot of stories about her. Occasionally I took a delivery for her from the station and they moved away not too much later. Pesce went on to become a big deal judge after they divorced. In fact I think he was one of the most important judges in New York State as the administrative judge for Brooklyn and Staten Island. He just retired after getting tons of bribes.

The kicker to the story is one day this woman comes in to shop in the store. As we are talking she asks me if I know Judge Pesce. I said sure in a trivial way but I knew his wife better. She says but I am his wife. I said no I meant his first wife.

I never miss an opportunity to say the wrong thing.

Just like Roseanne Roseannadanna.

Dick loves Pat and Pat loves Dick

"So Primer Choi what is it I am eating here? It looks like a bug."
"It is a bat penis Mr President. You are enjoying a great Chinese delicacy. Bat stew. Made with the penis and testes of a thousand bats. It comes from our Wuhan province."
"Err that sounds delightful. But I am not fond of putting a penis in my mouth. My wife Pat agrees. She never does."
"Well bat penis is very small Mr. President."
"Trust me that doesn't matter either. Can I get some Chop Suey instead?"
"That can be arranged Mr. President. In the meantime can we talk about you sending all of your jobs to China?"
"Sure thing Choi. I think would be great for business."

WKRLEM TV: We have been invaded by killer insects before

You could not make this sketch today. Political correctness would kill it.

Notice they hit some of my favorite themes. Filthy Mexicans. Eli Wallach in the Magnificent Seven. It's all there as if I wrote it today.

WKRLEM To all who have gone too soon

It doesn't really matter why. Bad decisions. Fate. Mistakes. Whatever.

The waste is the worst part. So much waste.

Taking back our country starts at one act of courage at a time.

A Texas hair salon owner refused to apologize to a grandstanding judge who imprisoned her for opening her salon so she could feed her children. From Brietbart:

Judge Eric Moyé presides over the 14th Civil District Court located in Dallas County. Dallas County issued an order to Luther requiring her to close her business after she opened in defiance of the stay at home Coronavirus lockdown.
Luther told the judge, “I have hairstylists that are going hungry because they’d rather feed their kids. So, sir, if you think the law is more important than kids getting fed then please go ahead with your decision but I am not going to shut the salon.”
Prior to her statement, Judge Moyé said she must see the errors of her ways and “understand that the society cannot function where one’s own belief in a concept of liberty permits you to flaunt your disdain for the rulings of duly elected officials.”
“That you owe an apology to the elected officials who you disrespected by flagrantly ignoring, and in one case defiling, their orders you now know obviously apply to you,” Moyé lectured. “That you understand that the proper way in which an ordered society to engage concerns that you might have had is to hire a lawyer and advocate for change an exception or an amendment to laws that you find offensive.”
Lucia reported that the judge ordered her jailed for seven days and fined $500 for every day the salon remains open. So far, the fine stands at $3,500.
These un-elected tyrants and power grasping pissant local officials are running roughshod over the Constitution. Not only are they taking away our constitutional rights in service of a bogus health crises but they demand that you kowtow and kiss their ass while they shit on you.
God bless this woman. I hope she will start a go fund me so I can contribute to it.

Small Businesses that didn't quite cut it.

One of the most expensive failures in the history of the United States were a group of franchises started by Joseph Kennedy in the 1950''s  called the "Ted Kennedy Driving School."

Each franchise offered an intensive five week course in defensive driving with a complimentary coed included.

BAN THE BRA!

HISTORY

During the 1960's, women started protesting for equal rights.  Women before the 1960's were known as housewives and mothers and nothing but those two things.  This aggravated many women and made them feel the need to reform this stereotype.  The 1960's was the time to do this.

MISS AMERICA PROTEST

One of the ways to protest was the Miss America Protest.  It  happened in 1968 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.  Women came from all over;
a women drove all the way up from Florida.  At the event about 150 feminists from six cities joined together to show how all women were hurt by beauty competitions. They argued that the contest declared that the most important thing about a woman is how she looks by parading women around like "cattle" to show how they look. All women were made to believe they were inferior because they couldn't measure up to Miss America beauty standards.

BRA BURNING

In the 1960's the phrase "Bra Burning" was well known.  People say that very few women actually burned their bras, but many supported those actions.  Women burned their bras because they felt that it proved a statement or made a stand for Women's Rights.  Another reason they burned their bras was because it was a symbol that showed independence of men at the time.  The women that didn't burn their bras often walked around wearing no bra at all.  This was also meant to show independence of men.  Many women thought that it meant freedom to be natural instead of pushed up.  At the Miss America Protest
there were trashcans that women called freedom trashcans.  Women threw things such as bras, girdles, curlers, tweezers, high heels, etc. into them to be burned.

The Heat was Hot?

On the first part of the journey
I was looking at all the life
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz
And the sky with no clouds
The heat was hot and the ground was dry
But the air was full of sound
I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La, la

The God Emperor finally starts going on the offensive

“Concast” should open up a long overdue Florida Cold Case against Psycho Joe Scarborough. I know him and Crazy Mika well, used them beautifully in the last Election, dumped them nicely, and will state on the record that he is “nuts”. Besides, bad ratings! #OPENJOECOLDCASE

President Trump finally took the gloves off and went after that loon Joe Scarborough. He went after the fact that his intern was found dead in his office. His female intern who died of a supposed heart attack and hitting her head when she was a runner and an athlete. This happened just around the time that other Congressional intern was murdered under murky circumstances.

Add that to the current fiasco of the sexual attack charges against Biden and we have a perfect illustration of the long standing double standard toward Democrats. Any Republican transgression or rumored transgression requires endless investigation as was attempted with Kavanaugh. Any such circumstance with a Democrat is covered up.

It is time that the President bring this up all the time. Repetition is the key. Demand that the Congress publish all of the accusations of bad behavior that they have covered up. Same with the press with the Matt Laurers and the Charley Roses that had skated all these years. They tar Trump with everyone who claims he grabbed their ass in Macy's window so do the same thing to them.

You say that this is unseemly because of the Coronavirus. Bullshit. Put it out there.

After all sunshine is the best disinfectant.
