Whose That Girl?*

She used to be Jimmy Page's squeeze.

Well, I dunno. But she's beautiful. And I love the "Whose That Girl?" posts.

Trooper is the master of that series, Darcy. I do this out of homage.

Plus there's a good story behind this one.

Get your mind out of the gutter, phx. :)

Patricia Ecker. She helped Paige quite his addiction to drugs.

Here's another hint.

It may have been the only time Page recorded pedal steel guitar.

It didn't escape my notice that while Darcy had no clue who she was she instinctively recognized her essence.

If you could only get rid of Crack and Meade we would have a really great blog going on here.

Heh.

I admit I did not know the answer naturally. I looked it up using your clues, Pollo.

Between resurrected visions of Bubblehead Barbie, her friend Midge (with the Flip) and the fantasy behind the hair style in my High School Senior picture, I was too overwhelmed with memories and crushed hopes to play the game.

At 72 she's been married to the same guy for 38 years.

Did I know she wrote Bette Davis Eyes? Why no I did not.

Man, is she ever beautiful.

The photos of her aging reminded me of a woman on Robert Irvine's restaurant makeover show Wednesday. One of the two women depicted is like her. Taciturn the whole time, never smiled, long blond hair and you can tell she was really hot. Angry. Upset things had come to this but holding it all in. She lost a lot of money besides.

Then when shown the place remade, hillbilly to modern hillbilly, her face broke out with all the life withheld to that point and she lit up the entire restaurant with her immediate full-face smile.

@phx: Her songs are just so darn uplifting, I was hoping the AM would pick them up -- being associated with morning sunshine, etc. But as deborah didn't even comment here, I don't think there's a chance. :(

Chick, it is a super uplifting retro song isn't it?

I guess we'll have to spell each other on the AM/FM thing. Yes, I want to go cheerful and upbeat for my Eastern time zone homeies like Ed and Sixty, but I reserve the right to blast them both out with some righteous, uplifting classical rock, blues, whatever. 'Sides, I post this before bed...might be kinda moody by then ;)

I was thinking she was the real life version of fictional composite "Penny Lane" from Almost Famous, but it is not her.
