In an astonishing series of early morning tweets, the firebrand President claimed his predecessor had bugged his phones during the “very sacred election process”, slamming the allegations as a “Nixon/Watergate” scandal.

Trump, who started the Twitter rant at 5:30am US eastern time, branded the claims a “new low” before appearing to call Obama a “bad (or sick) guy”.
The property tycoon turned politician wrote: “How low has President Obama gone to tap my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!”
Watergate refers the early 1970s political scandal which forced the resignation of Republican President Richard Nixon when it emerged that the Democratic party’s headquarters had been broken into.

Finally! Go after that would be shadow president HARD.
The evidence of a wiretap would be stunning. Since Trump owns the place, it should be easy to get.
The democrat party has a corruption problem. Media part of it.
You know that saying?
“Dance like no one is watching, love like you’ve never been hurt; sing like no one is listening, and live like it’s heaven on earth. "
I guess we need to change it to ......"Be careful!! everyone is watching, listening, recording your every move to warp, twist and use against you. Be paranoid like never before. Live like it is Hell on Earth." Or living in Soviet Russia where this has been the norm for decades.
Which is NOW the norm with our government, spying on us. Thanks President Bush for the NSA (/sarcasm) Heck. Even the grocery store is spying on us and recording what we buy. We live in a repressive police state and are not free....we just don't want to admit it..........yet.
The real reason why they've been going after Sessions.
He'd indict the bastard, along with Holder, ValJar, and Dr Evil.
It would be ironic if The Donald was the instrument to rid this country of the Commies and Nazis.
PS Anybody notice Sessions' Press Sec is Sarah Isgur Flores? Talk about keeping your enemies closer.
In a statement, Kevin Lewis, a spokesperson for Obama, rejected Trump's assertion. "A cardinal rule of the Obama Administration was that no White House official ever interfered with any independent investigation led by the Department of Justice," he said.
"As part of that practice, neither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any U.S. citizen. Any suggestion otherwise is simply false," he added.
Trump did not cite the source of his information, but the brash accusation may constitute an acknowledgement that officials at the highest levels of government were at one time probing his business and financial dealings. Last year, conservative-leaning websites cited unnamed sources saying that the FBI had obtained a Foreign Intelligence Service Act (FISA) court warrant—a request that would have originated from the Justice Department but not the White House.

And his Administration was scandal-free, too.

That statement by Obama's spokesman should be put in the dictionary under the definition of "Clintonian."
"Clintonian" indeed. I would bet 2 large the conversation on the tarmac between Bubba and Robert "Tank" Holmes sister was about putting a tap on Trump.
Consider this from the estimable Don Surber.
President Trump offered no "proof," which should fake the Fake News media into jumping all over him. Then, when the Trump-is-crazy calls reach a peak, boom, out comes the proof that Obama indeed used the power of his office to spy on a political opponent.
As they say, RTWT, not to mention, Media Protects Barack's Spying.
Why I totally understand Don Surber's point; I do think this type of charge needs some solid evidence, but if it exists; some people need to face hard time.
I think you'll see it. He wouldn't be saying this unless someone had told him, "Dude, you've been tapped".
In the immortal words of Thomas Edward Lawrence, "This is going to be fun".
This must be worse than we know.
Not only the Mocha Messiah's henchpeople, but even Eddie Munster confirm Trump was tapped.
Well, this will keep the talking heads busy.
