"Lobster Festival Forced to Eat Hotdogs"

"After Air Canada Loses Lobsters."
An Alberta woman tried to share some Newfoundland lobster with her friends and family, but Air Canada got in the way.

Jackie Panuisiak hosts the annual Northern Alberta Lobster Festival in the community of Cotillion. She had ordered some 145 pounds of live lobster to be shipped from this province to Alberta. The problem is that the lobsters didn't arrive.

When Panuisiak's sister talked to Air Canada about what happened, she says they were rude and unhelpful. She says they were passed off to Air Canada's Cargo Relations and were met with more unhelpful behaviour. She says they did not admit any fault in the matter.

It turns out the lobsters were in Toronto, but Air Canada's tracking system said they had arrived. Panuisiak says it raises concerns about the reliability of Air Canada's tracking system.

In the meantime, the Lobster Festival was forced to eat hot dogs instead of lobster.

"$30 hot dog man gets fired"

“He told me he charged the people $2 a hot dog. He lied to me.”
Ahmed Mohammed — whose fluctuating frank prices ranged from $3 to $30 near the World Trade Center — was also fleecing owners of the food cart, his boss Abdelalim Abdelbaky, 22, told The Post.

“Nobody would give him a job and he came to me. [But] I lost money — and I lost some customers,” he said, adding he even let Mohammed stay rent-free at his home in Jersey City... Mohammed targeted people with accents near Greenwich and Albany streets, according to NBC.

In one case he tried to charge a New Yorker with a French accent $15 for a pretzel and a hot dog. In another, he asked $30 for a hot dog and a Dr Pepper.
I paid $5 one time for a hotdog. I made the mistake of not asking the price first. Lesson learned.

Happy National Hot Dog Day
People born today can say they missed being born on the same day as the future king of England by a day, but they do still share a birthday with Harry Potter himself Daniel Radcliffe, legendary guitarist Slash, hall of fame hurler Don Drysdale and local radio personality Don Imus.
While Sunday was National Ice Cream Day today is a little warmer with it being National Hot Dog Day.
Sonic has a $1.00 National Hot Dog Day celebration sale. Not bad in this economy.
