Lena Dunham: I am sorry If I caused Pain

I am dismayed over the recent interpretation of events described in my book Not That Kind of Girl.

First and foremost, I want to be very clear that I do not condone any kind of abuse under any circumstances.

Childhood sexual abuse is a life-shattering event for so many, and I have been vocal about the rights of survivors. If the situations described in my book have been painful or triggering for people to read, I am sorry, as that was never my intention. I am also aware that the comic use of the term “sexual predator” was insensitive, and I’m sorry for that as well.

As for my sibling, Grace, she is my best friend, and anything I have written about her has been published with her approval.

Translation:

I'm sorry I was stupid enough to open my big, fat, narcissistic mouth and let the world know what a sick puppy I truly am because it's going to cost me a lot of money and maybe (maybe - we're talking it's not HBO, it's porn, after all) my TV show that nobody but a few chi-chi types like me even watches anyway.

Would someone please give me a definitive answer?

Is sex good or is it bad?

Because I'm not having any until I know what's what.

If it's very very bad, that's real good.

So she is not sorry that she molested her sister, just that she was dumb enough to tell everybody. Got it.

Sex with children is never good.

No matter who does it.

This is just the first attempt to normalize incest and pedophilia. So they can get married just like the gays.

Get used to it. We will be seeing a lot more of it soon enough.

It's ok for gurlz to be intrusive perverts with their younger family members and not be molesters. Only questionably inappropriate male sexuality is presumed to be disgusting.

Although to be fair, that "mom's" domestic photo gallery probably fueled this.

However, hating on her show is as ridiculous as hating on a WWII film. In both cases, that shit did happen! Twenty-to-thirty something chicks really are that shallow in their thinking and life situations (at least from what I can tell in a major urban setting) and to prefer it go undocumented is to prefer a cover-up to the truth.

Speaking of camel jockeys, I discovered the first Arab in America with an actual sense of humor:

My theory is 1,400 years of prohibiting alcohol is the best way to create a humorless society.

Really. How do we know she's not joking. Again.

Lena, your face causes me pain and that can never go away unless you hack your face off.

Hollywood injects sexual obsession into everything they create. Oddly, Rape culture is all the fault of the GOP.

Now that the election is over, we can get back to contemplating the pros and cons of Lena Dunham's sex life. I'm of the opinion that it's completely idiosyncratic and has no bearing on human sexuality as it is expressed elsewhere on this planet......,I'll say this in defense of Lena: if her career tanks because of this and the careers of Woody Allen and Roman Polanski continue to flourish, then maybe there's something to this sexism thing.

Thank you Lena Dunham for the political fallout!
