Born on the 4th of July

The NYPD is going on strike this Fourth of July according to the New York Post.

Flyers are going around the precincts urging the cops to call in sick on the 4th of July. It gives them explicit instructions on how to call in sick without jeopardizing their employment. Up to and including coming into the precinct and demanding they call an ambulance. With the coronavirus bullshit there is no doubt that this could work.

You knew this was gonna happen.

It is the simple fact that liberals and Democrats don't live in the real world. They don't understand human nature and what people will do. For example the underground economy. They continual raise the sales tax and don't understand why people won't report their sales and their revenues go down when they raise the rates. They think they can insult and attack people and they are going to take it. The cops are not morons. They are not going to risk their lives to end up being put up on charges where they can get the death penalty when the arrest of a skell goes wrong. Atlanta is learning that lesson now. The rest of America will learn it soon.

I don't really hold a brief for the cops. I think in general they are lazy bastards. I think they went way downhill when they started  listening to the political correct and replaced dumb Irish guys with Hispanic lesbians who weigh 90 pounds. I know how this is going to go. The rich will hire their own police forces and keep anybody darker than Harry Belafonte out of their neighborhood unless they are rich rappers. The poor will be raped, murdered and victimized as their CVS and supermarkets are looted and burned down. The key is the middle class. They can't live in homogeneous neighborhoods like Carroll Gardens anymore because the liberals will prevent it. The cities are over. Unless they move to the suburbs. The middle class will have to develop their own militias to defend their homes. The cops are not going to do it. Gated communities will become the norm and not the exception.

In the meantime the liberals and the politicians are going to get a glimpse of what the future will look like without the police.

Have the police forfieted our support by acting like "Good Germans?'

Have you seen the repeated reports of local police acting like the Gestapo in enforcing the illegal decrees of various tin pot mayors and governors? The above video shows and egregious attack on a woman who was trying to get on the subway with her child and was stopped by the cops because she wasn't "wearing her mask correctly." From closing barbershops and salons in Michigan and Texas to sending in a SWAT team to close a restaurant, local police forces have been instruments of oppression. They have handed out tickets and threatened worshipers who were attending religious services in their cars because of the illegal edicts of power mad functionaries.

For many years I have heard people tell me not to worry about the cops. If the government wanted to do something against the Constitution they would not enforce it. Yes they will. They are doing it right now. From rounding up the Jews who want to have a funeral for their rabbi to beating down this woman with her child on the Subway they have eternally forfeited my support. I know they will come after our guns. Our churches. Our way of life. There are exceptions here and there but they are few and far between. It is time to rethink policing and police forces in America.

I just finished the Waco miniseries on Netflics. It can happen here. It is happening all around us. The center can not hold. We need a sea change in both our expectations and our attitudes. Or we are lost.

An off duty female cop in the Bronx was punched in the face as a skell tried to steal her purse.

According to the story in the New York Post:

"Nilda Quezada, 41, was on her way to work at the 24th Precinct when a man in his 20s approached her at around 5:35 am, according to law-enforcement sources.

After muttering something in a language she could not understand, the brute snatched the gold necklace from around Quezada’s neck, sources said.

A struggle ensued, and the creep punched her in the nose, forcing the stunned cop to drop her purse, which contained her service weapon. The creep then rifled through the purse, snatched the gun, and fled, sources said."

Now the traditional way for a cop to lose is gun is to be drunk and leave it in a bar. That was when cops were all drunken racist Irish guys. But thanks to feminism we can live in a world where cops can get mugged and their guns stolen. When their purses are stolen. Good thing she is out there protecting us.

It is De Blasio time.

NYC City Council to propose new police reforms

The nine council bills up for review at Monday’s Council Public Safety Committee meeting include:

• Requiring that uniformed cops provide their full name, rank and precinct, as well as the CCRB number, during any traffic stop or property search.

• A measure that would allow police to use “injurious physical force” only “as is proportionally necessary,” but that does not define how proportionality will be determined.

• Making the NYPD report the precincts of the 200 cops with the most CCRB complaints filed against them.

“These pieces of legislation have been proposed by individuals who have neither the expertise nor the experience to establish policy in the dangerous business of fighting crime,” PBA President Patrick Lynch said in a statement Sunday.
“Policing policies must be left to the police management who understand the intricacies and difficulties of complex legal issues and the appropriate use of crime-fighting tactics.”

Officer Brian Moore died today. He had been shot in the face when he stopped Demetrius Blackwell who obviously had a gun in his pants. Officer Moore was a plainclothes anti-crime cop just 25 years old.

There will be no protest because of the murder of Brian Moore. No professor or pundit will go on MSNBC or CNN and rant and rave about how unfair it was. How Officer Moore was a young man with his whole life ahead of him. How he played it straight and by all the rules. How he came every day to protect and serve a community that hated him. By a skell who should have been incarcerated but who they would want to go free because there are just "too many minorities in jail." It doesn't matter that Blackwell was a career violent criminal. He is exactly the type of person that they want to go free.

If Officer Moore had tazed this mook they would have started a riot. God forbid he had shot him while he was pulling out his gun. They would have demanded that he shoot the gun out of his hand. They would have asked why did he even stop and frisk him. They would have shut down the Brooklyn Bridge for weeks. Officer Moore probably hesitated for that split second because he didn't want to be the next cop thrown under the bus by the racialists.

You will not see one tenth of the blog posts or comments decrying the murder of Officer Brian Moore. There will be no protests. No press conference by President Obama expressing outrage at his murder. No demands that the Justice Department get invovled. No demonstrations. No outrage at all. They save that all for the skells and career criminals like Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin and Freddie Grey. I expect Demetrius Blackwell to be the commencement speaker at Oberlin college next year.

Because these people think that this is how it should be. Another cop shot dead. Big deal. If they don't like it they should go do something else.

Police lives matter. Just not to them.

"NYC Council wants to decriminalize low level crimes"

"Before a crowd at the National Action Network in Harlem, New York City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito says some simple crimes like drinking alcohol in public, or urinating in the street should be handled more like parking violations."

"We are examining way in which we can expand the use of summons and desk appearance tickets” she said.

Reverend Al Sharpton says over policing of minor crimes like these often creates tension between community and law enforcement.

But Police Commissioner Bill Bratton does not support the plan. He says crimes should be treated like crimes. “It limits the ability of police officers in this city to do their job” he said.

In an unmarked car, the policeman was allegedly attempting to park without using his blinker at a green light. (His reverse lights weren't on. Likely double parked without hazards on.) The Uber driver pulled around and gestured that he should use his blinker, casually and non-offensively, and kept driving us. The policeman quickly pulls up behind us and this is what happens.

"Bratton: Tensions in NYC like 1970s"

“Who would’ve ever thought déjà vu all over again, that we would be back where we were 40-some-odd years ago,” Bratton said in an interview on NBC’s “Today.”

When asked whether he had seen such tensions or divide before, Bratton replied, “1970, when I first came into policing, my first 10 years were around this type of tension.”

“… It’s quite apparent, quite obvious, that the targeting of these two police officers was a direct spinoff of this issue of these demonstrations,” the police chief said.

“Many issues of the 1970s are now revisiting us once again. And once again at the forefront of dealing with those will be America’s police forces,” Bratton said at a police promotion ceremony on Friday

He continued, “While the focal point has been on policing, and now growing to the rest of the criminal justice system, the issues are not just about us, or the criminal justice system. They are societal issues, societal issues that were very evident in the 1970s which we thought we addressed but quite clearly, for so many, in this city and this country, have not been addressed.”

“We’re in a change moment,” Bratton said. “The idea is to take out of this crises, find opportunity to move it forward and I think that can happen … We will seize on this tragedy, we’ll seize on all these issues and we’ll move forward.”

Mayor de Blasio passing through a corridor for a press conference on shooting of two NYC police officers

In the distant past when I cared to socialize in crowded places, weekend patio bars, cocktail parties, what have you, busy places I'd go to see and be seen, met up with friends, encounter new ones, stand shoulder to shoulder, this was a technique I picked up. A simple quarter turn to shut off unwanted conversation or snip undesired attention and engagement .Everybody is drinking, everybody is talking anyway. Not even a full reversal,is necessary a mere shift in posture does the trick. 

It seems de Blasio burned one bridge too many. Apparently MoveOn,org (yes, that thing is still around) started a petition asking for de Blasio's resignation and the petition already has 21,000 signatures. 

I heard, I heard it here a smatter of fact, they always do eat their own. But who would have thought so quickly?

It is believed he also shot his previous girlfriend earlier in the day. But apparently did not kill her. That is two for two. Honestly nothing else can be expected when community organizer is elevated to national community disrupter. Yes, this is programed community agitation on a national scale. "Police Sergeants’ Union Warns Against Democratic Convention in Brooklyn"

"A union of New York City police sergeants warned the Democratic National Committee on Tuesday against holding its 2016 convention in Brooklyn, issuing an open letter that doubled as a broadside against a mayoral administration with which some officers have grown increasingly frustrated."

In the letter, addressed to the group Mayor Bill de Blasio wooed during its visit to New York two weeks ago, the president of the Sergeants Benevolent Association, Edward D. Mullins, said the city was going “backward to the bad old days of high crime, danger-infested public spaces and families that walk our streets worried for their safety.”

He presented a city overrun with “squeegee people” and other panhandlers, with shootings on the rise and morale among police officers flagging.

“The D.N.C. should choose another venue,” said the letter, which appeared as an advertisement in The New York Times and The New York Post. “Mayor de Blasio,” it continued, “has not earned the right to play host to such an important event.”

Mayor de Blasio chalked it up as an attempt to "benefit their own position in contract talks".

"Cop 'cannibal plot' case tossed"

"A former New York police officer has left jail after a judge overturned his conviction in a bizarre case accusing him of plotting to kidnap, kill and eat young women."

Judge Paul Gardephe ruled overnight (NZT) that there was insufficient evidence to support a jury's guilty verdict in the kidnapping conspiracy conviction of Gilberto Valle.

His lawyers had argued that the alleged plots were really fantasy online role play that never put anyone in harm's way.

Valle - dubbed by the tabloids as the "Cannibal Cop" - smiled at his family and hugged his lawyers in court. The judge set bail at US$100,000 (NZ$113,930) and ordered home detention for the defendant after prosecutors told him they intended to appeal his ruling.

"The government believes the jury got it right," said Assistant US Attorney Hadassa Waxman. (read more)

"New York police to city's subway acrobats: siddown"

The Guardian: The New York Police Department is cracking down on the subway showmen who use the tight quarters of the nation's busiest transit system as moving stages for impromptu — and illegal — pass-the-hat performances. More than 240 people have been arrested on misdemeanors related to acrobatics so far this year, compared with fewer than 40 at this time a year ago.

Police Commissioner William Bratton acknowledges he is targeting subway acrobats as part of his embrace of the "broken windows" theory of policing — that low-grade lawlessness can cultivate a greater sense of disorder and embolden more dangerous offenders.

"Is it a significant crime? Certainly not," Bratton said recently. But the question is, he added, "Does it have the potential both for creating a level of fear as well as a level of risk that you want to deal with?"

The subway acrobats say they're just out to entertain, make a living and put a little communal levity in New York's no-eye-contact commuting. (read more)

"Morning Glory: Jogger Ticketed for Crack-of-Dawn Run Through Central Park"

"Runners have joined jaywalkers on the NYPD’s to-ticket list."

CEO Peter Shankman was issued a summons for running in Central Park too early in the morning, Gothamist reports.

Mr. Shankman, who is an “author, entrepreneur, speaker, and worldwide connector,” and founder of Help a Reporter Out, was stopped by cops around 4:30 a.m. on Thursday near 85th Street on the park’s East Side.

He said he was training for the Ironman Triathlon and getting his 10 miles in before his morning meeting, Mr. Shankman wrote on Facebook.

But apparently, Central Park is closed between 1am and 6am, making his early morning run a criminal act.

Mr. Shankman claims there were no signs, gates, or traffic cones indicating that the park was closed.
