Adams says "What me worry?"

(New York Post June 13, 2022)

Mayor Eric Adams insisted Monday he’s not worried about police officers leaving the NYPD in droves this year — declaring that being a Big Apple cop is an “amazing career,” and that the departures present a chance to “diversify” the force.

Hizzoner’s comments come after The Post exclusively reported Saturday that over 1,500 officers have either resigned or retired in 2022 – a rate that represents the largest exodus of officers since the statistics have been available.

About 520 cops have resigned, and more than 1,000 have retired as of May 31, according to NYPD pension data previously obtained by The Post. The 1,596 total departures from the police department represents a 38% spike compared to the same period in 2021, when 1,159 cops called it a career, and a 46% increase from 2020, when 1,092 left the force by the same point.

Asked Monday morning by “Good Day New York” host Rosanna Scotto if those figures “concern” him, Adams replied, “No, it does not.”

“[The] New York City Police Department is an amazing career. I know it first-hand, and we are going to find young men and women who are going to want to be a member of the New York City Finest,” the retired NYPD captain and former transit cop continued on Fox 5.

(Adams was the head of the original Black officer's union back in the day. The brass hated him with a passion as he was always demanding affirmative action promotions. Now he is going to fill the department with people who can't pass the written or physical test. So, you are going to have 90-pound chinese broads becoming cops. A couple of years ago a tiny Korean cop was walking down the stair well of a housing project. He was so scared he had his gun out and his finger on the trigger. When a mook opened the door, he shot him. He went to jail. Cops should be six-foot-tall Irish kids from Long Island. Or maybe some blacks or Spanish who can keep the peace in their neighborhood. Not the riff raff that they are going to hire. They will bring in the dregs of society to fill their quotas. Some drug addicts. Some trans-sexual. Perverts. Every piece of shit under the sun will be represented to honor diversity.

Good luck with that pal. What could go wrong?)

Community Policing!

New York Post June 26, 2016
Two cops treated to mile-high sex on a free chartered plane ride as part of an alleged NYPD bribery racket should be fired, the hooker at the center of the scandal said.
“I know for a fact that they have hired people before,” Gabi Grecko, 27, said Saturday of the two cops she was paid to “entertain” while dressed as a stewardess on a 2013 pleasure trip to Las Vegas.
“They hired maybe five escorts the second night we were there,” she said of Deputy Inspector James Grant, who has been stripped of his gun and badge, and since-fired Detective Michael Milici, who isn’t charged in the scandal.

Both cops are married with kids.
“For those police to be up [in rank] so high and yet doing things that are illegal, and not only the things they did with me, but just the widespread things that I have heard, I mean, definitely they should lose their jobs,” Grecko said.
“If you want to be a police officer you are obviously vowing to a set of rules, so yeah."

Public Morals.....a great new show for you to check out on TNT

There is a great new show about policing called "Public Morals." It is about how NYC used to be in the 1960's.

It shows how the "Pad" worked. The Vice Cops would control things in return for a small stipend that all of the cops in the precinct would share in to supplement their meager pay. It wouldn't be much. Maybe five bucks a week. But in return when something goes wrong you would call up and it was taken care of immediately. You know that there wasn't a problem with the "homeless." They were bums and they were rousted and sent off to the Bowery. Not like today where a homeless douche bag could set up in front of your house and take a dump on the sidewalk and the cops can't or won't do anything about it because they don't want to catch a beef.

It has the flavor of the sixties. The fashions. The cars. The cigars. The food. The style. Burn's old man was a cop and he used all of his old stories in the series. Set on the West Side of Manhattan it deals with Irish cops and Irish Gangsters. With a few Wops mixed in for flavor. Written and directed by Edward Burns it stars a bunch of great actors. Brian Dennehy. Neal McDonnough. Kevin Corrigan. Michael Rapaport. Lots of great scenes of violence and mayhem.  There is one mutt who is direct rip off of Crazy Joe Gallo. Has his look and his attitude. Kills five guys with a knife. You see they didn't always have guns in those days.

I remember those days. When the Cops were Irish and the Crooks were guineas. When you had a problem you went to the guys who ran the neighborhood and took care of it. There was no street crime to speak of. The cops controlled the vice. You could play the numbers or bet a horse without paying a huge tax if you won. They always paid off. If you had a beef and were a legitimate citizen the cops would take care of it. Those were the days.

If you want to see the real community policing check this out.

Highly recommended.
