3 year old Matthew reads to 1 year old Noah in ASL
Colors and signs.
Well. One word per page, but still. There are letters involved and decoding, and common sense, and we see Noah doing the signs before his older brother reads them and cues him. Their little fingers are adorable.
Isn't it wonderful to see their brains absorbing and learning with such enjoyment. Children are such little knowledge sponges at these ages. Give them input, information and feedback and they will soak it up.
This is also why we adults need to be very careful about what we say and how we act as our children will learn and imitate. As I learned to my dismay, embarrassment and guilty amusement when my [then] 20 month old daughter had her toys fall off of a shelf another room when we had company and she loudly announced.....Damn IT! in a tiny imitation of my voice. Oooops!!.....note to self...do NOT swear around our child and check what else we are doing that should be immediately curbed.
A week or two ago, I was behind a car that seemed to be all over the road. Once we came to the stop light, I could see four men in the car all talking with their hands. And not like that Spinelli does, either.

Adorable.
The little brother knows how to sign red right off the bat.
So sweet.
How do you sign "my diaper is full"?
Absolutely cute.
