"I saw obvious discomfort in the women’s faces" or "Why is the vice-president of the United States smelling my hair?”

Fresh off The Cut:
Imagine you’re at work and a male colleague who you have no personal relationship with approaches you from behind, smells your hair, and kisses you on the head. Now imagine it’s the CEO of the company. If Biden and I worked together in a traditional office, I would have complained to the HR department, but on the campaign trail, there’s no clear path for what to do when a powerful man crosses the line. In politics, you shrug it off, smile for the cameras, and get back to the task of trying to win your race.

After the event, I told a few of my staff what happened. We all talked about the inexplicable weirdness of what he did, but I didn’t plan on telling anyone else. I didn’t have the language or the outlet to talk about what happened. Who do you tell? What do you say? Is it enough of a transgression if a man touches and kisses you without consent, but doesn’t rise to the level of what most people consider sexual assault? I did what most women do, and moved on with my life and my work.

Time passed and pictures started to surface of Vice-President Biden getting uncomfortably close with women and young girls. Biden nuzzling the neck of the Defense secretary’s wife; Biden kissing a senator’s wife on the lips; Biden whispering in women’s ears; Biden snuggling female constituents. I saw obvious discomfort in the women’s faces, and Biden, I’m sure, never thought twice about how it made them feel. I knew I couldn’t say anything publicly about what those pictures surfaced for me; my anger and my resentment grew.

Had I never seen those pictures, I may have been able to give Biden the benefit of the doubt. Had there not been multiple articles written over the years about the exact same thing — calling his creepy behavior an “open secret” — perhaps it would feel less offensive. And yet despite the steady stream of pictures and the occasional article, Biden retained his title of America’s Favorite Uncle.
Sample from the internet, not the woman in question.

FOX news is really over.....stick a fork in them they are done!

The social justice warriors and the cucks got Bill O' Reilly today. A bogus controversy whipped up by the New York Times about sexual harassment led to him losing some advertisers. The two pussy sons of Murdoch who are cuckmeister generals forced the old man's hand and dumped a guy who made them billions and who was still on the top of his game as the highest rated host. Liberals everywhere are rejoicing. First they got General Kelly to put in a globalist into the National Security Slot. Then they got O'Reilly the most popular right wing TV star and the anchor of the FOX network. Now they are going to go after Hannity who will be the next one the Murdoch's drop. The ultimate goal is to get President Trump. By bringing bogus trumped up sexual harassment charges they set the stage for attacking Trump in the same way. The Russian bullshit is going nowhere so now they will switch to sexual harassment.

The final blow was a bullshit charge by some woman who said that O'Reilly refused to promote a show for her because she wouldn't go to his hotel room. Even the head cuck at Powerline said this was a big bag of bullshit. That didn't stop the Murdoch spawn who are intent on turning FOX into CNN. Good luck with that.

"Fox News' Megyn Kelly accuses Roger Ailes of sexual harassment"

CNBC:  One of Fox News' top anchors, Megyn Kelly, has also alleged that she was sexually harassed by CEO Roger Ailes, New York Magazine's Daily Intelligencer reports.
Two sources told the publication that Kelly told a team handling an outside investigation into Ailes' behavior that she too was the victim of sexual advances from the Fox News executive about a decade ago. The probe is being handled by New York-based law firm Paul, Weiss, Kelly, on behalf of Fox News' parent company 21st Century Fox.
That's why she had not come forward to defend Ailes, following the Gretchen Carlson charge, like all the other Fox News stars.

"The corporate ‘cure’ for sexual harassment only feeds the disease"

NY Post:  The last time you had to sit through a training program, you probably thought you were just wasting your time. You were wrong: Research suggests that efforts to raise awareness and train employees about sexual harassment may be worse than a waste. They may actually lead to more tolerance for sexual harassment, as well as greater reliance on stereotypes and more animosity between the sexes.
A research team at Stanford, for example, used an experiment in which one group of men heard a sexual-harassment policy before conducting a task with an unseen female partner.
The researchers found, compared to a control group, these men were more likely to believe “most people think both men and women are lower status, less competent, and less considerate,” and personally thought “everybody was lower in status.”
Another study of participants in a sexual-harassment training seminar found “male participants were less likely than other groups to perceive coercive sexual harassment, less willing to report sexual harassment, and more likely to blame the victim.”
So much for sensitivity training. These findings seem pretty obvious. Few people forced to read legalese or watch stilted programming about Johnny and Jane learning appropriate office behavior feel affirmed and inspired to be more respectful to others.
Rather, such programs tend to remind us of everything that’s wrong with our culture, with people assuming the worst of each other and forcing everyone to walk on eggshells lest they offend someone else. (read the whole thing)

"At least now I have a social-justice reason to hate this song"

NRO: According to posters placed around the University of Oklahoma campus by the Gender+Equality Center, Adele’s song “Hello” is one of many songs that “normalize sexual harassment.”

The poster features the phrase “even great songs can normalize sexual harassment” and the lyric of the song that the group has a problem with: “I must have called 1,000 times.”

Now, maybe I have just a little too much faith in humanity, but I kind of feel like anyone who is not completely stupid would realize that the line is meant to be a hyperbole and that no one is actually calling her ex 1,000 times.

And, as the Media Research Center points out, even if she was calling her ex literally 1,000 times, it would really just constitute regular harassment and not sexual harassment. (Unless, of course, she was also leaving pornographic voicemails, which I’ve gotta say would be a pretty doggone weird thing for a heartbroken person to do.)
