Paul Ryan to Attend Secret Donor Group Meeting Next Week in Manhattan
"House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) has spent a lot of time denying any interest in the presidency.
Last week, when his office put out a 43-second video, the Drudge Report tweeted an all-caps siren reading “Paul Ryan launches first campaign ad?” Despite the video so resembling a campaign ad that even NPR’s Steve Inskeep joked this morning that he got choked up by the swelling music, Mr. Ryan’s people have aggressively swatted down speculation that the Congressman and unsuccessful 2012 vice presidential candidate was indeed waiting in the wings to be drafted should a consensus not be reached on any of the candidates who have been working to earn the votes of Republican primary voters over the last year.
..The Observer can now report that Todd Ricketts, the co-owner of the Chicago Cubs who is also the son of the founder of Ameritrade, is arranging a meeting of some of the GOP’s top financial bundlers, to be attended by Mr. Ryan. The meeting is to take place next week at the Mandarin Hotel and will be comprised of a discussion with “twenty or so” Republican donors, including Mr. Ricketts and several people he has raised money with before, such as Randy Kendrick, the wife of Arizona Diamondbacks owner Ken Kendrick.
...The planned meeting came to the attention of the Observer via one top Republican donor who was approached and described himself to the Observer as “disgusted that he [Ryan] is saying one thing publicly but secretly trying to garner support with all of these NeverTrump people talking about all their strategies to subvert the people who are voting for Trump and Cruz.” He declined to join the group and either did not know or would not reveal others who would be joining the secret meeting at the Mandarin."

Hillary Clinton Drudge style
So it's come to this. Drudge publishes the most disturbing photograph available that shows how Drudge feels whenever Drudge see her, one that would be carefully avoided if possible. Hillary Clinton, Drudge style.
This photograph is both terrible and wonderful at the same time, technically photographically and as art.
Everything wrong at once as if planned by master technicians.
* The lighting, right off, is the worst for this subject. A screen in front of the light source can cast interesting patterns such as window shades in film noir, and in other cases, shadow screen or not, the pattern of light and shadow falling on the subject can add to the interest, it can elevate the photography or it can be a disaster by falling on all the wrong places and creating unwanted contrasts where they are not helpful. Compare with an interesting example how shadows can contribute significantly:
* Awkward pose. This was caught at a bad moment. It looks like her neck hurts.
* Bad expression. Again, snapped at the worst moment of all possible moments when teeth are displayed as a rodent and the shape of the mouth combines with her cheek lines and chin lines, it looks like Egyptian hieroglyphic V-26, a spool of netting twine, except hers has teeth in the middle.
I drew this because I couldn't find a good one.
pronounced: 'ḏ "edge."
* Bad makeup. She, her team, does much better than this every day. This makeup, along with the lighting, looks purposefully ghoulish like a dancer for a Michael Jackson Triller video.
* Bad hair day. Right before touchup coloring. Her hair looks destroyed. Would make a good "before" picture for Wen hair products. You catch someone at the end of a busy day and this happens.
* Terrible, terrible wardrobe chosen for its sackcloth texture, fringe edged burlap chic. Brown wooden beads for necklace. Her stylist does this. She wears open weave fabric jackets but this appears extreme in its down style.
* Monotone coloration throughout, hair, face, and clothing as if all life has been used up and squeezed out and in dire need of blood and desperate for brains to gnaw on. A makeup artist could not have been more convincing without going overboard painting arrows with shadows on her face to the only thing left still working, the overlain upper and lower incisors. Monotone is not necessarily bad, most spray paint their whole face to even out blotches but this is terrible with natural and unnatural shadows adding grotesquely.
This photograph is carefully chosen from hundreds similar for being the best of the worst, the most disturbing of all, for that reason good art and very mean spirited dirty politics.

Robby Mook is worried and annoyed
Robby Mook [Google Images] is Hillary Clinton's campaign manager. So, right off we learn this is a story and Trooper York is naming Hillary's campaign characters now.
The thing about articles linked by Drudge is, if they have a comments section then it becomes flooded usually along predictable lines that diminish to squabbling and absurdity. They tend to show the reason why comments are disabled.
The article at The American Mirror is about Hillary's campaign manager sending a message to supporters indicating desperation. It is short message, ordinary campaign material but the comments to it are much longer and the most fun thing I've read week and loaded with copy/pasted information and linked cartoons, Photoshops, silly things, serious things, Branco panels that speak volumes in a single drawn picture that cause subthreads of their own a mile long containing more Branco cartoons that are incredibly condensed, lists of deaths surrounding the Clinton pair amounting to fifty or so many of them questionable deaths, shots to the back of the head ruled suicide, several of those, with more names added on by subsequent commenters and evoking a poetical side to some commenters, a Shakespearian side to others, philosopher's side to some commenters and amounting to a veritable pressure chamber of anti-Hillary Clinton murky sedimentation.
It does devolve to nonsense but it's fun, and there is no opposition present. Mook has very good reason to be annoyed.

"Where have all the Hillary trolls gone?"
"They have vanished like the snows of yesteryear."Come on, that's hilarious! They weren't even trying to be funny. I switched from Safari to Firefox for this comments thread because too many pictures were being dismissed. I want ALL of their goofiness and mirth.
Bill is however charismatic, Wiener on the other hand, ha. What did Huma see in him. Ever notice how skinny his neck is? Truly a "pencil neck".I never thought that. But then someone remarks.
With my sincerest apologies to the great Jerry Lewis, I always expected Weiner to cackle and start every sentence with "Hey LADY!"Two people on the same strange thing and that had me pushing the laptop away and folding up laughing. That is so remote from anything I thought but I have to admit that it's perfect.
It does devolve to nonsense but it's fun, and there is no opposition present. Mook has very good reason to be annoyed.

"Lucianne Goldberg: Bill's 'bimbos' ... 'they're back!"
Excerpt:
"“...This is fun. I mean, everything old is new again,” Goldberg said in a recorded radio interview set to air Sunday night on “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio.”
She was recalling when Klein, then editor-in-chief of his high school newspaper, had contacted Goldberg because he was interested in getting involved in the newly emerging independent Internet news media.
Goldberg, who worked as a literary agent in the 1990s, was the person who advised former White House staffer Linda Tripp to record hours of personal conversations with Lewinsky in which the young intern detailed her extensive affair with Clinton.
The recordings were central to the Lewinsky scandal, which became public when Matt Drudge reported on his young website, Drudgereport.com, that Newsweek editors had killed a story on the president’s affair.
“So at the time there was a young man who is now one of the most powerful people in the world named Matt Drudge. We had both started websites together, and it was the pioneer days of the Internet,” Goldberg said.
“And a mutual friend said, ‘Call Matt Drudge. He’ll put it on his website. He doesn’t care about offending the Clintons.’ So I did, and he did, and the world exploded.”

This is going to be an unbelievable campaign. We are going to make complete asses of ourselves in front of the world.
