Yesterday, in her first big speech, she described the riots as a moral reckoning with racism and historic injustice that has brought a new coalition of conscience to the streets of our country demanding change.

Word has also come down Ubersturmbannfuhrer Gretchen of MI was Gropin' Joe's real choice, but the Demos are just as desperate now as he was 5 months ago. Understandable why he'd like her. She's his kind of girl.

Ah, well, if Gropin' Joe doesn't make it to Labor Day, they'll need someone to take Chlamydia's place so we can have that historic all womyn ticket.

What I was trying to say was, the funniest line I read was "Who will Kamel pick as _her_ veep?", as that's what's really important now.

On top of all the other traits mentioned, Whitmer also had The Oh So Sniffable Hair! She'd have been able to pull in a large block of the African American vote in MI. But she didn't have what it takes to eviscerate Pence, who'd developed a working relationship with her after she'd ticked off Trump.
Biden backed himself into a corner with his color requirements and wasn't able to get what he wanted, while the Dems hired themselves a sharp shooter. Harris has been tasked with dazzling the crowds with her female glory while using her prosecutorial skills to deliver and nail Trump and Pence with the full load of contempt she and the party carry.
Watching Kamala's speech with the sound off was almost as unsettling as hearing her speak. She looked like a little girl basking and preening at a birthday party. Simpering and fawning were the words that came to mind to describe what I thought I was seeing. Before using them however, I decided to look them up and there it was, double BINGO:
simpering: affectedly coy and ingratiating
fawning: displaying exaggerated flattery or affection; obsequious.
With smarm for the trifecta;
smarm: to behave in an ingratiating way in order to gain favor
And "Yuck!" to cover the whole thing!

One blogger that I read thinks that Biden took Harris' willingness to run with him as a welcome sign that she had forgiven him for being the racist she said he was during the Dem debates. I would be skeptical but for the George Bush/Michelle Obama hand-holding love fest after the Obama's trashed him for the better part of eight years.

The new roadway would help secure Michigan’s position as “the automotive capital of the world,” she said in the press release.
“As we rebuild our roads to ensure every Michigander can drive to work and drop their kids at school safely, we will also continue working to build smart infrastructure to help prepare us for the roads of tomorrow,” Whitmer said.
She ties the weirdest sh*t together to make the baloney sandwich presented sound like steak.
No surprise here however: The press release did not specify where funding for the project will come from.
As for the Commalalaladeedah performance delivered yesterday, smug would also be a fit.

Instead, the legislation would have required these individuals to be treated in entirely separate, otherwise empty facilities reserved exclusively for those who have already contracted the disease.
It is impossible to mount a scientific justification for Whitmer's veto. It was an act of pure spite, a move that signaled nothing save her unlimited contempt for the Republican-controlled state legislature. Her feeble defense — that not placing virus patients in nursing homes where their chances of infecting their fellow occupants are all but guaranteed would have violated their medical rights and privacy rights — is risible on its face.
...Whitmer is everything critics accuse President Trump of being: venal, narcissistic, hypocritical, obtuse, willfully ignorant, and totally indifferent to human life.
I can think of no greater or more obvious indictment of our national media than the fact that America's most incompetent public servant was feted as a plausible choice for the Democratic Party's vice presidential nomination. Republican governors can be accused, with varying degrees of accuracy, of making light of the current pandemic.
Whitmer stands alone in her positive insistence upon maximizing the death toll by the only surefire means known to science.
