"Grand jury reaches decision in case of Ferguson officer"

"A grand jury has reached a decision on whether to indict Darren Wilson, the white Ferguson, Mo., police officer whose fatal shooting of an unarmed black teenager sparked days of turbulent protests, sources close to the process said."
If Wilson is not charged, government officials are bracing for protests in the St. Louis area and nationwide. They have discussed emergency plans in the event of a violent reaction, while protest and community leaders have mapped out their response in hopes of avoiding the unrest that exploded after Brown was killed.

The St. Louis Police Department is projecting it will spend three times the amount of money budgeted for overtime this fiscal year ending in July, according to Roorda. Since the shooting, the city has paid out $1 million in overtime pay, officials said.

“We just can’t get through this until we get to it,” Roorda said. “There’s a certain psychological toll that battle-readiness takes on a person.”

I missed the immigration speech but I'll be staying up for this I think.

And when Ferguson burns and who knows how many innocents are murdered and the Vicious Racist In Chief tells us it was an expression of legitimate rage...then what? Will whites still sleep? THAT is the only significant question.

So the race baiters have managed to destroy this town's race relations, it's reputation, it's prosperity for years to come, and likely destroy lives and property in the coming days, and then the cops get to make a bunch of extra money just in time for Christmas.

The race baiting media, the self-promoting hacks, and even the cops cash in, while everyone else loses big time. Well done. You all come back to Ferguson anytime. We love having you stop by to take a shit on us.

According to Gateway, no indictment.

If so, give fair warning looters and other felons will be shot and then impose a dusk to dawn curfew.

If the community organizers still want war, may I suggest a quick whiff of grapeshot.

Reggie is for wusses. You want the original music to organize race riots by, prized by the original race baiters, Stokeley Carmichael and Rap Brown - "Dancin' In The Streets".

Hey! You put your comment back.

They always pick the worst cases to stake their grievances upon. There's a pattern here.
O.J. Simpson
Travon Martin
Michael Brown

Surely there are cases better than these. But no, the race baiters involve themselves, gin up emotions, then BAM there is no breaking through with logic nor can real justice be addressed properly.

Setting back relations decades. It is what our political does. They need it or their raisins day tray evaporate.

I meant to say raison d'être but nobody understands me when I flick to French accent because part of it comes out of my nose. *pop* I do that kiss pop behind a cupped hand.

You know what I mean. There are much better cases than this. And when you address them directly as on twitter with pristine logic such as this:

"My dad taught us how address police officers when confronted, it goes, yes Sir, yes Sir, yes Sir, yes Sir, yes Sir"

Then when he departs, "Blow me."

And all I get back from such life-saving rational information is:

"I don't give a fuck about ur muthrfkern opinion u muthrfker. Ur opinion means nothing 2 me. Why should I listen 2 u? U mean nothing to me."

And that is why you are the bottom of totem pole where all the dogs piss. And why you will stay there.

Let me post a comment here that I posted elsewhere today:

Something that bugs me about the whole Ferguson fandango. It is trivial compared to the riot I lived in and went to work every day in amongst National Guardsmen and the 82nd Airborne from Fort Bragg in 1967. Why you ask? Simple enough…Detroit’s riot was among the most deadly, 42 reported deceased and many others never reported, or even found, or in the river to be discovered in Toledo or Cleveland.

Yet, less than a year later, on 04 April 1968 as much more nationally significant man was murdered in Memphis. No question about the emotional impact on everyone, especially the African Americans. His name was Martin Luther King. Those of us in the city that night expected, certainly, that we’d have another riot, perhaps worse than the first. I left my pistol with the bar maid who had been directed to stay in the saloon she attended to protect what she could. I went home and collected up another sidearm and a shotgun…just as I had during the 1967 riot. I returned to that saloon early in the morning, once I’d secured my home and that of my

And there was no riot. Not even a street corner conflagration.

Therefore, as we await a finding by a Grand Jury I am stunned that riot is anticipated if a finding displeased the mob. I blame the media as well as the outside agitators. I have faced greater and more justified mobs, and the Ferguson episode is an anomaly abetted by those intent on creating in-harmony. Those who want to see riot. It is sick. Would that they could be as well reasoned as those Detroit residents on 04 April 1968. I was am still am proud of those folks, then and now.

Think about it.

I truly hope the same scenario plays out in Ferguson as it did in Detroit that April of 1968.

Ari -- impressive.

I too wonder why the rioting. But the human heart is deceitful and desperately wicked ... so ...

It would have been good if Ferguson were ignored all these weeks the Grand Jury was meeting. Don't feed the beast.

Interesting that the fruit of "The Great Society" has become so rotten.

Well -- he has laid out information in almost a warning -- you all don't have all the information the grand jury had... and there was no evidence that there was a crime worth trying.

Wasn't there the same concern trolling by the media over potential rioting prior to the Travon verdict?

Response Detroit 1967 Greatly enlarged photo, please scroll over it to see the magnitude.

The real losers, Detroit 1967

This same city set ablaze in 1967, did NOT riot again upon Martin Luther King's death in 1968. Compare MLK's demise to Michael Brown's. Only the political whores, outside agitators, and media pundits see a parallel. They are wrong...I lived through the 1967 riot, and the peace of 1968. Ferguson does not compare...even slightly.

Yes, if by "concern trolling" you mean "encouraging, anticipating, hoping for, preparing for, praying for, and hyper-covering".

The same thing has happened in Ferguson. The MSM was hoping to get a riot to broadcast, and it got what it wanted. Do you think there would have been as big of a riot if the media had blacked out its coverage? Probably not.

And have you taken note of how utterly disinterested the MSM seems to be in who, exactly, led this riot? Who published the list of targets? Who set building on fire? Who was trying to build bombs? Who had the automatic weapons that were being fired last night?

It wasn't at all serendipity; it was organized. Not that the media wants to investigate that.

Yes, pretending to be concerned about it, while building up expectations and hoping for it, for the sake of news.

Much like the Weather Channel hyping an incoming hurricane, all worried. Not.

Correction to my comment about the Army unit sent to Detroit in 1967...forgive my aging brain and failing memory...I believe it was the 101st Airborne from Fort Campbell, not the 82nd from Fort Bragg. No matter, really, they were a no nonsense outfit....both with Vietnam combat experience. Not light infantry you should mess with, I assure you.

I do recall it took Cyrus Vance 2 full days flying around in a helicopter to notice Detroit was in flames and tell LBJ to send in the troops...who were camped out at the State Fair Grounds. Some things never change...politics always gets first "say".
