“Following the marriage ceremony, the groom took his bride to the hotel where they had booked a room,” a relative said. “However, as soon as the bride was in the room, she kept using her mobile. Her groom tried to get closer with her and become more intimate, but he was shocked when she ignored him, not responding to his words and action. When he asked her about the reasons, she answered she was busy communicating with her friends who were congratulating her on her marriage on the mobile. The groom asked her to delay the messages, but she refused and became angry. When he asked her if her friends were more important than he was, the bride answered that they were,” the relative said, quoted by Saudi daily Al Watan on Tuesday.

"Women have "choices" Men have responsibilities"
"Bill that could end permanent alimony in Florida causes division between men's and women's groups"
“What did the father do?” said women’s advocate and co-founder of Families Against Court Travesties Adele Guadalupe. “He contributed his sperm. The mother carried the baby for nine months. The mother had the nausea and threw up, probably had to give up her job. The mother had to give birth, the mother has to breastfeed the child. All of the sudden, the mother counts for nothing and the father has a 50-percent right to this child when it’s young? It goes against nature. It goes against justice. It goes against everything we have been brought up to believe.”

"In a landmark ruling, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Matthew Cooper is allowing a nurse named Ellanora Baidoo to serve her elusive husband with divorce papers via a Facebook message."
Baidoo, 26, “is granted permission serve defendant with the divorce summons using a private message through Facebook,”...
“I think it’s new law, and it’s necessary,” said Baidoo’s lawyer, Andrew Spinnell.
His client and Blood-Dzraku tied the knot back in a civil ceremony back in 2009, but their relationship crumbled when Blood-Dzraku reneged on his promise to have a traditional Ghanaian wedding ceremony as well, Spinnell said. Both are from Ghana.

When Bad News is Good News
"Worsening U.S. Divorce Rate Points to Improving Economy" said an annoying headline. I was so annoyed with it I waited a day to put it up here. Trying to figure out why it's annoying, it's annoying. I mean, shouldn't I be glad, that, other than getting passed over for an Oscar, there is really no bad news anymore. Sure, there is high unemployment and Miley Cirrus is doing... whatever. We have no privacy to speak of and a president who literally does whatever he wants. But, there is a bright side to that too, I'm sure. I'm probably annoyed that I haven't thought of it, micro-aggressive rube that I am. I know you are, but what Am I?
Anyway, Am I alone on this? Check out the little personal story that is supposed to give us some kind of hope or whatever.
