Don't take the Subway....because they are kneeling during the Anthem

 

Subway Sandwiches are revolting. Well the franchisees are since the sandwiches themselves are pretty tasty. It seems that featured noted Anti-American Soccer loser Megan Rapinoe in their ads that they pay for with Franchisee fees. These franchisees report that they are getting a backlash from people who won't patronize Subway because they use this piece of shit in their advertising. Karma is good as the US women's soccer team lost and had to settle for a bronze medal when they were heavily favored to win the gold. They managed to turn much of America against them. Just as most of the Olympic athletes have managed to turn normal Americans against the Olympics. They have expressed their contempt for our country and we are expressing our contempt or much worse our indifference. In these times of covid where so many are working from home and should be watching the ratings have taken a nosedive. As have the ratings for the NBA, NFL and MLB. The political correct stance these leagues have taken have alienate much of their hard core audience. 

It's a shame that this is going to affect my favorite tuna sandwiches. 

Jason Whitlock is not buying it

 

Do youse guys know who Jason Whitlock is? He's a black sports commentor who specializes in going against the grain of what you expect him to say. He set himself up to cater to a white conservative audience and he really cashed in big time.

He has an interesting take on this gymnastic bullshit. He goes into it on his podcast as reported by Real Clear Politics. Whitlock said in part:

"I don't like what has been done to us and what we've allowed. I don't like the brainwashing. The lack of accountability. The lack of expectations for greatness," Whitlock said. 
"She is on the biggest stage in the world," he said. She has the chance to represent the United States. She has the chance to represent black people. I quit. I'm not in the right headspace."

Brazilian authorities seem determined to find out what happened with American Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte

AP:  Lochte's swim teammates to meet with authorities on robbery

Three American Olympic swimmers planned to meet with Brazilian law enforcement Thursday to discuss a reported robbery targeting 12-time medalist Ryan Lochte and his teammates, a U.S. Olympic Committee official said.

USOC spokesperson Patrick Sandusky said Jack Conger and Gunnar Bentz were released by local authorities after being pulled from a flight at the Rio de Janeiro airport, with the understanding that discussions would continue amid uncertainty over what truly took place during a late outing the night Olympic swimming wrapped up at the Rio Games...

NBC reported Wednesday night that Lochte backed off some of his earlier claims about the robbery. He now says the taxi wasn't pulled over by men with a badge, but that they were robbed after stopping at a gas station, NBC reported. Lochte also said the assailant pointed a gun at him rather than putting it to his head.

The U.S. Olympic Committee said police went to the athletes village to try to collect the passports, but the swim team had already moved out.

Lochte's father told The Associated Press by phone from his Florida home that his son called him Tuesday after arriving in the United States.

The 32-year-old swimmer was going to pick up his car and buy a new wallet to replace the one that he said was stolen. "I'm just happy he's safe," Steve Lochte said. "It was an unfortunate experience for him and the other three. I don't know what all the controversy is. They were basically taken out of the taxi and robbed. The main thing is he's very lucky that he's safe and that all they got was his cash and wallet."....

A police official with knowledge of the investigation told the AP that police cannot find their taxi driver or witnesses from the robbery.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing. Police interviewed Lochte and one other swimmer, who said they had been intoxicated and could not remember what type and color of taxi they rode in or where the robbery happened, the police official said.

The swimmers also could not say what time the events occurred. Lochte's attorney, Jeff Ostrow, has said there is no question the robbery occurred.

"Why would anybody fabricate anything?" Steve Lochte said. "It's just ridiculous." Lochte told USA Today that he and his teammates didn't initially tell the U.S. Olympic officials about the robbery because "we were afraid we'd get in trouble." Steve Bentz, father of Gunnar Bentz, when reached by phone late Wednesday night, said: "I really don't want to say anything," and hung up.

I understand if you are a little skeptical of the account, since no recording is known to exist of the prodigious feat. But that doesn't mean it couldn't have happened...

"Reports claim Olympic kayaker capsized after hitting underwater sofa"

MSN:  Paul Kelso, a journalist for Sky Sports in the UK, reported on Friday that an Olympic kayaker had capsized after hitting a submerged couch.

No, really.

The report, which immediately sparked the #kayaksofa hashtag on Twitter, was not corroborated by anyone else. Nevertheless, the organizers are taking it seriously enough as to investigate it.

Look, we are well aware that certain aspects of the games — particularly the Olympic village — aren’t exactly up to standard. You’d think, though, that an Olympic kayaker would be able to participate without the fear of capsizing on errant furniture.

Watching a Scott Adams broadcast yesterday, I heard him say whenever you combine two things that don't go together, you create a lasting memory. Example: 'brainwashing' and now 'kayaksofa'.

There were times after the International Olympic Committee selected Rio ahead of Chicago, Tokyo and Madrid in 2009 when it seemed that the city of 6.5 million people might not get its act together for the world's greatest sporting mega-event. The spreading health crisis of the mosquito-born Zika virus kept some athletes away. Promises to clean up Rio's filthy waters remained unfulfilled. The heavy bill for the games, at least $12 billion, made them unpopular with many. Heavily armed security stopped a small group of protesters from getting close to the stadium ahead of the ceremony.

Meanwhile, women in Brazil and Colombia have been warned to take precautions against mosquito bites, and other women not to get pregnant until the effect of Zika on unborn children is better understood.

'The virus found the perfect conditions in Brazil: a very efficient vector that loves human blood, millions of susceptible victims with no antibodies, ideal climate, and lots of places to breed,' said Ricardo Lourenso, who studies tropical infectious diseases at Brazil's Oswaldo Cruz Institute.

Are The Olympics Transitioning?

"Transgender atheletes (sic) to be allowed to compete as the other sex in the Olympics...."

The International Olympic Committee received proposed guidelines in November from its 'Consensus Meeting on Sex Reassignment and Hyperandrogenism', which allow for broader policies that would include transgender athletes.

Olympic officials have not confirmed the new guidelines, which have already been adopted by other regulatory sports organizations, but the policy is available on the organization's website....

The policy change would be in line with NCAA standards in the United States, which allow male-to-female and female-to-male transgender athletes to compete without having gender reassignment surgery, according to ESPN....

Forty years ago Caitlyn Jenner won a gold medal at the Montreal Summer Olympics in the Men's Decathlon event when she was then known as Bruce Jenner. If she were to compete today - if she had undergone one year of hormone replacement therapy - she could compete in the women's event.

I'm pretty much past being scandalized or depressed over such images as snow-boarder Clair Bidez doing this kind of thing. I don't even feel that 'enjoy the decline, bitches' is appropriate. Is a young woman reveling in her youth, vitality, and sexual desirability such a bad thing? Where do you see the future of our society heading? 

I see sex becoming more and more normalized, and before long 15 year-olds, with the knowledge of their parents, will be typically engaging in protected intercourse, with the caveat they 'care' for each other. If we look at the centuries of forced pre-marital virginity as necessary strictness to avoid unsupported motherhood, technology rather negates the need for sex to be such a taboo subject or act.

I am not condoning anything here, but I foresee technology...birth control, texting, sexting, television in overdrive...leading us far from Leave it to Beaver.

Sochi Olympics preparation exceeds $50 billion; corruption blamed

"The Games, which begin Friday, rank as the most expensive in Olympic history with an estimated cost of more than $50 billion and counting.

A recent study by a Russian watchdog group alleges that organizers paid far more than the going rate for numerous venues built in and around the Black Sea resort. One former official fled the country and has been accused of embezzlement.
