Missouri, Illinois Face 'Slow-Motion Disaster'
At least 21 people have been killed in Missouri and Illinois and there have been widespread evacuations in the wake of a powerful winter storm. Two rivers have risen to record levels set in the so-called "Great Flood" of 1993.

Why Ben Carson is worth a second look.
What were the reaction of the various presidential contenders to the ridiculous goings on at the University of Missouri:
Hillary Clinton:"“Racism has no place anywhere, let alone an institution of learning. Standing w/ the students at Mizzou in my home state calling for change.”
Bernie "Red Depends Baby" Sanders: “I’m listening to the #BlackOnCampus conversation. It’s time to address structural racism on college campuses."
Donald Trump: “I think it’s just disgusting. I think the two people who resigned are weak, ineffective people. When they resigned, they set something in motion that’s going to be a disaster for the next long period of time.”
Dr. Ben Carson: "The resignations are a sign of the ‘politically correct police’ going too far. It’s OK to disagree with people, but it’s not OK to destroy them. People are so frightened of the politically correct police that they are willing to do things that are irrational in order to appease them. I believe it’s going to be necessary for those people who truly believe in our system, who believe in our Constitution, who believe in our principles and values that made America great, to be willing to stand up.”
I think both Trump and Carson are obviously correct. The difference is the matter of tone. Trump is combative and takes it strong to the hole. Did you his speech where he talked about Carson's description of his pathological behavior as being the same thing as being a child molester? Carson shrugged it off and said he was disappointed at Trump and that he would "Pray for him." I think this illustrates the best part of both candidates. Trump tells the truth that other people don't want to hear and is not afraid of being an asshole while doing it. Carson is a man of faith who is strong in his principals but not afraid to turn the other cheek when someone blusters at him. Carson will stand up strong when it is total bullshit which he did when the media had a feeding frenzy because of a manufactured lie by a blog. But he is a big enough man to give Trump enough rope to hang himself. It Trump is smart he would apologize. He won't which I kind of admire. But it would be the smart play.
Carson continues to impress me.

"Missouri football players strike amid campus racial tensions"
"More than 30 black football players at the University of Missouri have said they will boycott team activities until the school's president is removed over his handling of racial tensions on campus. The players said on Twitter Saturday night they would not participate in practices or games unless president Tim Wolfe resigns or is sacked."
"The athletes of color on the University of Missouri football team truly believe 'Injustice Anywhere is a threat to Justice Everywhere'," the statement read, quoting slain black civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. "We will no longer participate in any football related activities until President Tim Wolfe resigns or is removed due to his negligence toward marginalized students' experience. WE ARE UNITED!!!!!"Racial tensions have been brewing for some time now at the University of Missouri. Here is a photo below of the University president Tim Wolfe, nearly a month ago, choosing not to confront the protesters, possibly believing meeting with them would only aggravate an already tense situation.
On Oct. 10, with the LBC abuse still fresh in their minds, Butler and 10 other African American students interrupted Mizzou’s homecoming parade by surrounding Wolfe’s gleaming red convertible. “We will be here until we are heard,” Butler shouted into a megaphone as Wolfe and his wife sat awkwardly on top of the back seat, “and our people are protected and they feel safe on this campus.”
When Wolfe didn’t hear them out, Butler (the student now on a hunger strike) became even more frustrated.
“I thought, ‘What else do I have to do to prove my humanity’?” Butler told The Washington Post. “What else do I have to do, just because I’m a black person, to prove to you that I deserve to have a good experience on campus? That’s when I started to think about the action of the hunger strike.”
Then, two weeks later, Mizzou’s racial tensions flared again when someone used their own feces to smear a swastika on a communal bathroom wall in a brand new residence hall... For Butler, the disgusting incident, and the university’s response, was the last straw. On Nov. 2, he tweeted out a letter announcing that he was going on hunger strike.

The page displays tweets concerned with a man who knowingly spread AIDS and was convicted by a Missouri court and sentenced to sixty years in prison for separate occurrences served concurrently that may be reduced to thirty years. The tweets are mostly by LGBT activists who find the Missouri law stunted.

They all wanted raw sex, assuming an unaffected partner. The one who contracted HIV would be active with men besides Johnson. Without delving into details of the case it does not follow that Johnson necessarily infected the man.

Writing for Buzzfeed, Steven Thrasher describes the state’s case against Johnson as one shot through with dated, unreliable science from an era in which we did not fully understand HIV as well as high-strung emotions. During his days as a competitive athlete Johnson often used the stage name “Tiger Mandingo,” an identity that he would often use on the hookup apps that he used to meet men.The man was a high school wrestler with a body of death. Literally. He had sex with somebody and then told them later that he is HIV+. Later other of his sex partners came forward, one who has contracted HIV. Johnson's home videos didn't help his case.

Groenweghe, with the final word, said this case was worse than the murder cases he’s tried, because a murder ended when “someone is hit by a bullet and died.” But HIV, Groenweghe argued, has “an agenda” to “make as many copies of itself as it possibly can.” In Johnson, the virus “could not have had a more accommodating host,” who had unprotected sex with “one young man after another.”
