On Humanity, Inhumanity, Plots & Machinations,

Life, Mystery, and the Wonder of Online Connection often bring surprises that intrigue and lead me down some unusual paths. Today, one of the paths followed brought into view a painting/icon done/written by Ostap Lozinski, an artist from Lviv in Western Ukraine. Lviv is situated about 70 kilometers (43 miles) from the border with Poland. According to the website, Lozinski died unexpectedly in his 39th year (2020) as the result of Covid, which means this work was completed prior to the Russian Invasion of Ukraine.  Yet, my first thought on seeing it, was that I was looking at a depiction of current events.

Something like that is always a depiction of current events.
