The Plot of every movie these days.

It's getting old. I had to shut off the new Indiana Jones movie for just this problem.

They don't make movies or TV shows for men these days. And they wonder why their box office is shit.

(I stole this from Powerline)

Network TV is losing out to streaming, so the striking actors and writers say. Now streaming is have tough times, because of providers' greed, etc.

Movies are in trouble, as we all know.

I think more of it's content. People hate woke. It's what killed Bud Light, among others.

Channels running more traditional fare seem to be doing just dandy. Hallmark, of course, and anyone running Westerns, which more seem to be doing. Some of it, doubtless is for us old guys, but, if hip stuff is what sells, why isn't it selling?

The best line from The Searchers (IMHO), Ollie Carey's explanation of what winning the West really meant after Lars wonders if it's all worth it, tells why, "It just so happens we be Texicans. Texican is nothing but a human man way out on a limb. This year and next, and maybe for a hundred more. But I don't think it'll be forever. Some day this country's gonna be a fine, good place to be. Maybe it needs our bones in the ground before that time can come".

That's a real women. Not very many of those around.

I don't think they're making movies for women either. One bomb after another.

I got banned from Powerline for litterally saying (in relation to a Rittenhouse post): Well they F***** around and found out. Apparently even a F*** will get you banned.

So steal away Troop! And you are right about movies--most suck. I do hope Ridley pulls off a good movie with Napoleon.
