Cassius Marcellus Coolidge

If I could paint and if I could see color I would aspire to paint like Cassius Marcellus Coolidge  did. I really enjoy his work.

This is a detail from a painting he did of a Friday night at Meadehouse. Words fail me.

Others have tried to copy him. Tried to be contemporary. They can never approach his genius.

Those are my dogs goofing off on a quiet Sunday Night.

Cut the philistine act!

Were you a penguin in a former life? I mean those feet! A pink penguin.

Those are size 14 dogs man.

My feet are particularly disgusting these days.

This is legitimately my favorite work of art.

It is a masterwork.

Cassius Marcellus Coolidge was a great painter. Did you notice the subtlety in the dogs' expressions? Truly a masterpiece.

Your dogs, not so much. It looks like your leprosy is acting up again.

Those vericose veins look like the NYC subway map.

Trooper York said...

Yeah varicose veins suck big time.

The fucking Xarelto messes up my fucking skin. The slightest bump and I get an ugly mark.

So every-time a kick a cat I get another bruise. It sucks.

My arms are covered with "old man tattoos". Every time I drag a bunch of brush or carry a load of firewood my skin gets bruised and bloodied. So it goes. I am not posting a picture of that black and blue mess, however.

So your camera has a macro lens, eh?

Yep. It's called the Irish filter.

That was funny, you two.

Thing is, is that I was getting the ugly purple blotches before starting Xarelto. My dermatologist said it was sun damage to my skin. And the thing is I only get the blotches on my arms below my shoulders, everywhere else is a normal bruise.
