I watched a couple of epis of GLOW - it was not good. Mercifully I now have wifi and have started watching Justified on Prime TV. Much more in keeping with ne and my people, other than the fact that IT WAS FILMED IN CALI-FREAKIN-FORNIA!!!

The Justified picture is a nice mashup of the original Maxell ad from, well, when was that, the 1980s? Earlier? All I know is that ad has spawned nearly as many parodies as American Gothic.

A while back, hoping to broaden my horizons and improve myself, I bought a CD compilation of bluegrass standards. Jesus Christ! Some of those songs were the saddest fucking songs I'd ever heard. The one about the little dead girl made me fucking cry. I bailed maybe two-thirds of the way through and that was the end of that.
I, too, avoid maudlin Bluegrass music like the plague. It better be about runnin' moonshine or shootin' Y*nkees or something cheerful or I won't listen.
The dead kid songs - no way.
I don't always listen to Bluegrass, but when I do, it is Seldom Scene. Stay country, my frinzh.
