Ex-Jets player killed in road rage attack

Former Jets running back Joe McKnight reportedly was shot dead Thursday in the New Orleans area at the age of 28.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office said a man was gunned down following an argument at an intersection in Terrytown, and family members identified McKnight as the victim, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
A witness at the scene told the newspaper the victim, McKnight, was trying to apologize to another man who was yelling at him. The shooter fired more than once then stood over McKnight’s body and said, “I told you don’t you f— with me,” before firing again, the witness said.
The Jets selected McKnight in the fourth round of the 2010 draft following a standout prep career in Louisiana and a stint at USC, where he was hailed as the heir to Reggie Bush. In three seasons with the Jets, McKnight played in 39 games, recorded 502 rushing yards and made his biggest mark as a kick returner. He led the NFL with a 31.6-yard kickoff return average in 2011.
McKnight last played in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2014, and he saw action in 2016 in the Canadian Football League.

I am sure that the eyewitness accounts are just as reliable as the ones who said that Michael Brown had his hands up begging "Don't shoot."
If it was cut and dried I would think he would be locked up. I bet there is a lot more to the story.
You are aware of the old gag of skells bumping into a car and causing some slight damage so they will stop to exchange insurance and then rob the occupants. Not saying that is what happened here but it smells like it. Only this time he picked a guy with a carry permit.
Of course that is just rank speculation and we don't have any facts. So lets wait and see.
McKnight just attended a continuing education course. He passed.
