One thing to keep in mind, Trump has a floor of about a third of the electorate, something the One True Ted or Little Marco didn't.
Also something Cacklepants probably doesn't.
The party fathers, doubts aside, realize no one else could pull it off. Kick and scream all you want, but it says something that the 2 states involved were one of the 3 with a voterless election and the one where Carson was screwed by dirty tricks.
That stuff won't be worth much in November. They know they need a vote-getter and the Republican primary had 5/8 more voters than last time (while the Demos were down a fifth).
