Labor Day Morgenblätter (Morning Papers)

"On the first Monday of September, Americans enjoy a day of rest to appreciate the social and economic efforts of those whose hard work built our country."
"The first Labor Day was celebrated on September 5, 1882, in New York City, by the Central Labor Union, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

As President Theodore Roosevelt once said: "It is only through labor and painful effort, by grim energy and resolute courage, that we move on to better things."

Does labor have to be "grim," to quote Teddy?

It's been quite a few years now since I've had morgenblätter, what with the enlarged prostate and having to piss regularly throughout the night.

You know who always has to work on Labor Day? Midwives.

I shouldn't be proud of that last one, but I am.

Today is move in day. The city's population doubles with the over 60 universites in this elite, academic city.

The students are:

Northeast/NYC elites that went to Choate and Exeter.

Rich Internationals.

Minorities because of Affirmative Action.

and worst of all...

flyover state students who excelled in academics.

There are moving vans everywhere.

its.

Poor Nick —

Do you really believe the BS you post – or are you simply so uninformed and disinformed that your only response to information you can’t refute is to try and divert attention with juvenile silliness. Most right-wingers at least try to make an effort to hide or mask their ignorance — but Nico apparently thinks his low-information-based comments is a collector’s item.

Nick Spinelli,

I call your statement about Daly Plaza in Dallas BS. You make it up as you go along. Your real ignorance and bias is showing.

Unknown - what?

What the fuck are you writing about?

"Daly" plaza in Dallas? Really? You make Titus and Lem look literate and intelligent, and that's not a good thing.

So go back to the basement, tell your mommy that you really didn't mean to call anyone ignorant, and have her bring you some nice Koolaide - that will soothe your nerves.
