I have an idea: We could have an animated icon (Chip"s the go to I would think) like ACE HQ has the flaming skull and Drudge has the red light. It could be placed on the post as an update to signal, "Comments have gone Bat Sh*t Crazy (BSC), you have been warned." I would find that very helpful. It would be up to Lem or the contributor who posted when to display the icon/alert.

So I guess that we leave all of our cars and trucks unlocked during the day and often with the keys in the ignition on our property is a pretty good indication that we don't live in a very high crime area? Half the time we forget to bring in the keys at night too. The worst that can happen is if we didn't roll up the windows and it might rain.
We do lock when traveling away from home: remove the keys and also lock the house and shop. Also when traveling we have friends on the Citizen's Patrol who do come by once or twice a day. Also when traveling we are locked up in the car, but mostly because the car does that all by itself.
Seriously. We rarely lock the house doors at night either. Although If we don't lock the front door in spring when the house is shifting and moving from winter/cold to summer/warm the wind will blow the door open. You wake up and find the door wide open and leaves on the floor....damn! My biggest fear then is that a skunk or other worse critter will take the open door as an invitation to come in. Hello Mr. Mountain Lion, excuse my pajamas.
Perhaps we are not in a high crime area because everyone, including me sleeps with loaded fire arms within a finger's reach and handily throughout the home...... and everyone knows it.

I seem to recall A taking great offense if/ when anyone sockpuppeted in her name anywhere. Rightly so.
It's not only an offense to the person you're sockpuppeting (for all I know Inga would love it). Unless it's absolutely obvious that it's a sockpuppet (and it clearly is not), it's an offense to readers (and in particular, co-commeters) who are mistaking one person for another.
In fact, if DBQ hadn't noticed this, I might have felt more annoyed by "Inga" than the real Inga deserved, and that might have been manifested in comments against her.

Thanks. Sure, but they will have to wait until next spring. We are already past the point of hedge trimming this season. The new growth that trimming would stimulate now would not have enough time to harden off before winter and you would risk "winter-kill". Best to let them be until next early spring. What kind of hedges are they?
